Default Income Tax

History time.

In the 1930's, Congress passed the original income tax. When citizens shouted, "Foul!", the Supreme Court stepped in. Based on the Constitution, the Supreme Court ruled that Congress did not have the authority to pass a national income tax and the tax was deemed unconstitutional.

However, the Constitution does allow for amendments if 2/3 of Congress vote for said amendment. So, to make it legal, Congress voted for and passed an amendment granting them the authority and power to tax income. Then they re-passed the national income tax.

So, to answer the question, no, income tax is not illegal.

And my favorite color is black.

more money, less problems. why? because no worries on tax, no worries on saving up money for when you retire and everything. you can get a lot of what you want, can throw parties, buy friends and family gifts a lot. and it's just makes life easier.

If you had it, you'd think differently. And if you didn't, you'd go broke like that kid in "Blank Check."
Rich people aren't spenders. They are wise investors who are stingy with their money...that's why they have so much.
The people who spend and just have a lot of stuff have what's known as credit card debt. My parents taught me(and themselves) this lesson the hard way.
