It didn't necessarily ignore T3--it simply skipped ahead implementing an alternative timeline. They did mention after they jumped forward in time to 2007 that Sarah would have died of cancer if she hadn't time-jumped.

And yes, T4 was terrible. I was very disappointed. That movie left a bad taste in my mouth.

T3, T4 and the TV series is what happens when tinsel town tries to be greedy. They should have left well enough alone. But noooo.

I personally think that the series was better than any of the movies as far as depth of story goes. Thomas Dekker was doing a helluva job at portraying an adolescent kid dealing with gargantuan responsibilities. I was very dissappointed to hear of the cancellation but at least I have some other good shows to fall back on, such as True Blood and Dexter

No. T3 was great. T4 was terrible. Another huge stinker from Nolan/Bale.

You guys are crazy... T4 was frigging awesome as a movie. Now as a 'terminator' movie... it wasn't that great because it didn't feel like one. It was a great popcorn action film and I hope they make the next one.

As for TSCC... It is a real shame. I can't disagree that the middle episodes of Season 2 weren't that great but the last 5-6 episodes of Season 2 rivaled most shows on TV this past season. I love it so much and I AM PISSED they canceled the show.

I never said T4 was a good movie, but in comparison to T3 it was at least watchable. T3 was a horrific series of plotholes, with mindless one liners, and better acting jobs seen in Uwe Bolle's latest endeavors. It was clearly a cash grab, and the nearest movie I can compare it to for sheer crappiness in a sequel is Batman and Robin.

He could be referring to Jonathan Nolan, who did some touching up of the T4 script.

And what's with all the T4 hate, I thought it was a great movie, it just needed to be fleshed out a bit more. But, otherwise a pretty good film.

The show is great too and I'm sad that they canceled it. It deserved another season.

Yeah, the show getting cancelled was a real bummer. Plenty of much crappier, less deserving shows DID get renewed (Heroes, I'm looking at you!). Heck, Dollhouse got renewed and its finale ratings were quite a bit lower than Terminators. A real bummer.

The TV show got cancelled because the movie was bad? Not quite.

Yes. But as Bill Hunt and others said, there was hope if T4 did well. It didn't.

The tv show did NOT get cancelled because T4 was bad. You are wrong.

The tv show got cancelled because the ratings were poor.

After the tv show was cancelled Jeff Kliest said that people in the industry were watching to see how well T4 did, and that there may be hope at another network. Again, this was AFTER the show was cancelled.

T4's poor box office did not CAUSE the cancellation of the tv show.

I'm not sure where all the hate comes from. I really enjoyed the movie too!

I think Dollhouse got renewed over SCC because Dollhouse is made in house, SCC wasn't, so cheaper cost wise for FOX to give it another season.

Yep. Plus, FOX gets money off home video sales since they own Dollhouse. WB technically owns SCC. Fox only payed licensing fees to air it on the network. Plus they gave SCC two seasons to gain viewers. Unfortunately it didn't so I guess that's why they chose Dollhouse too, to see if it can gain traction. I have a feeling it'll get canceled after season two myself.
