I figured that, but just seemed to not work for me. Another thing though, I never knew that Jason was such a good electrician. He had all those flood lights at the camp wired up plus the lighting for his underground tunnels. Never knew he was so smart.

Maybe he can another hostage to his underground lair. What the hell was with that in the 1st? This time though he can take them to his frozen lair below the lake.
Sorry to me this was one of the better Friday the 13th movies. I am not expecting Oscar winners here.

It'd be a tough sell for a girl / girl scene in skimpy clothes in the snow

I'm not either, but I would hope for at least some of the great 80's slasher feel from the originals. Not the same blah crap that Platinum Dunes has been doing. Don't even bring up the fact that they are remaking Nightmare on Elm Street. That should be a huge disappointment also.

Exactly.

The complaints i hear about this movie is either from fanboys who blindly hate Michael Bay and/or Plantinium Dunes, or are old school hardcore F13 fans that can't accept change. Those that complain about things like logic, bad acting, bad script, bad director, etc, really need to look at the old series they adore, because there really isn't anything oscar worthy in those films.

This movie was fun as hell and the audience I watched it with in the theaters loved it....one of my favorite movie going experiences, no doubt. I felt like I was at a football game.

It's not blindly hating him or Platinum Dunes. There is no blindness there. I have seen the movies and hated them. When it comes to change, fine if they had wanted to maybe continue the series somehow, but to just start over just seems lazy. Sorry for liking the originals and not their poor efforts.

I don't understand why you would hate them though, when really theres nothing thats not in the original series. There are some changes, but each sequel in the old series had changes as well. We had Jason going from average height to 7 or 8 feet tall by the end of it in Freddy vs Jason.

And as for remakes or restarting franchises, you should be blaming all of Hollywood for that. lol Its not just the ones in charge of Friday the 13th. Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, The Omen, Hellraiser, Child's Play, Robocop....the list goes on and all of these have, or are scheduled for reboots.

I blame all of Hollywood don't worry. They just happen to be at the top of my list for the bad remakes. Them and Rob Zombie.

I know there was changes in the original series, but like the rest of Hollywood starting over just seems like an easy way to cash in on an existing franchise. I was very unhappy with what they did with it. That's plain and simple.

Fargo used the old wood chippy !! But Jason would just toss multiple bodies into it at the same time. Would like to see Jason on a snowmobile, would pay to see that.

Sorry but I hated The Original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Yes I thought it was corny crap. I liked when the brother in the wheel chair bought it. The remake and sequel where more enjoyable and better in my opinionj. As for The New Friday the 13th. You can't honestly tell me that parts 5 through 10 were better. The new one is easily in the top 3.

Actually I can say they were. 6 and 8 were the best!! I will take the implausabilities of the original series over the way that they portrayed him in the new. Like the remake of Halloween, they give too much of a back story, make him out to be more realistic, so that when there are plot holes they are more glaring. Again, I will take the corniness from the 80's then the poor attempts to cash in on a franchise name that hollywood is doing.

Hate to break this you, but those sequels you love were cash in more then this remake. As for plot holes, explain how they said Jason was cremated in the 5th one, yet they dig him up in the 6th? lol You see where I am getting at? The corny ones you love are full of plt holes and more of a cash cow. I have seen all of them and I can fill in a lot more plot holes.

I know they had plot holes. I never said they didn't. Let me love my old ones and hate the new ones. Is that so hard? I never said I wasn't a hypocrite either.

a cool death would be at the beginning of the movie, a sexy chick is showering (in the nude of course) and then Jason appears and she runs away from him...she runs out of the shed into the snow completely nude and hides from him.

We dont see the chick again for the rest of the movie until the very end. She is still naked, frozen solid in her hiding place. Jason never even got to her....that would be dope lol
