Didn't care for the first one. I thought he removed any and all character from the Laurie, Annie, and Lynda. Instead of caring what happened to them, I couldn't wait for them to get offed.
My problem with H2 is this: How the hell are you going to have "Michael Myers" movie where Michael doesn't wear the mask for something like 75 to 80% of it?
I just don't care for the direction Rob "I'll never do a remake...(then pan a few years down the road)... or a sequel to Halloween" Zombie is taking this franchise. I'd much rather see him get Tyrannosaurus Rex off the ground, or make another Firefly family flick.

The first one was pretty good (as long as you don't compare it to the original), though, as much as I'd watch anything for Danielle Harris, this sequel looks terrible...like Rob Zombie just got back from watching the F13 remake and decided to lift characterization from Jason Vorhees and replace what he'd already done with Myers in the first remake.

So he's been living in the woods, by himself, and now hallucinates his mom (played again by Zombie's wife, dressed in a white sheet) telling him to kill. WTF?

He could hallucinate Frank the Rabbit and it would make as much sense.

How else could Rob get his wife in his movie?

i liked the first one he did, it was different, i will prob enjoy H2 as well, however, i gotta a problem with the "no mask on". I mean, he can do wtv he wants, but thats stretching it a bit. leave the mask on!

I'm not going to knock it until I see it. I don't know why everyone is disappointed in the remake it was failry original and the action scenes were good. The ending to me was the only stupid moment as it being more "real" really didn't setup for an H2 but given it was a hit of course "True legends NEVER die" lol. They did this crap with the Friday the 13th remake too why kill the villian if he is coming back. Magical resurrections were in the 80's and they should've stayed there. Enough with my gripping, who knows mask or no mask I am sure there is a reason why he might not have it on? Either way it'll be a film with good cinematography and lighting which Zombie seems to excel at IMO. He just needs to up the intensity and make Myers a horribly gruesome and stalkerish villain.

Flashback?

People will rush to see anything in 3D (even death by car wash). Otherwise they wouldn't be able to get away with the obscene cost of 3D features in theaters. Add to that that a lot of people were unhappy that there was going to be a Halloween sequel and that the directors of Inside were no longer helming it.

Zombie himself said he didn't see a point a sequel, but two years and a few $ later and we have H2.

Well said. And I agree... I thought the Halloween remake was good. How many times did they blow up, burn, destroy Jason in the 80's/90's? Magical rez's were cool back then.

I'll watch H2 and give it a chance.

I'm probably going to pass on this one.

I didn't hate Zombie's remake. If you pretend that the 1978 movie never existed, then his movie works as a exploitation flick (which was what he was going for). Not a great one, nor a scary one, but not a bad one, either. Something I'd be willing to pick up, if I could get it cheap. However, it doesn't remotely compare to Carpenter's original, nor is it something I'd be looking to revisit as a sequel (although, knowing some of the friends I have, I may end up watching it anyway).
