No, there wasn't too much that was cut. But it would be nice to have the film uncut.

That is correct. I just recived the information from Kinowelt that there will be be 2 Boxes. The Uncut-Box will not be available online. Online-shops like amazon.de will sell the CUT-Version.

So it won't be available even if it's shipped inside of Germany?

This discussion reveals more information: If I understand correctly, the easiest way to tell whether you're looking at the CUT or UNCUT edition is to look for the FSK logo: the CUT edition will have a red FSK18 logo whereas the UNCUT one won't have a logo at all, due to it containing an unrated film.

Here's hoping someone with access to instore copies starts a group buy, as I'm sure there will be enough demand for one. Indiziert

EDIT: OK, looks like I can provide confirmation now - CUT ; UNCUT. There's also a difference in the EAN: 4006680047164 = CUT ; 4006680052014 = UNCUT.

There are two onlineshops in Austria. As the austrian law is not so strict on movies as the German law. Austrian onlineshops are allowed to ship the box.

Default Bluray is CUT

Yes, the Bluray is cut worse than the US version by about 2 minutes. New bluray: 109:24 vs. theatrical: 111. Also, the part where Casey's parents discover her body hanging on the tree is cut to shreds. It's cut by about 30 seconds FROM THE THEATRICAL VERSION! So you're actually losing 30 seconds from what you've always watched.

Well that just sucks bigtime... Glad I have the uncut directors cut laserdisc still if they're pulling this kind of editing crap.

Hang on. 30 seconds cut from the hanging scene would mean no hanging scene at all. Are you sure you know what you are talking about??

Well, they saved me money.

Japan got it uncut on DVD, so hopefully they get the uncut on Blu as well.

I guess I might just wait for the UK release, but still interested to know what the audio/picture quality is like.

there are two versions ....

trilogy package with Scream and Scream2 (only in 1.78:1) CUT
this has the FSK18 LOGO

and theres the UNCUT package.... with no FSK logo (meaning unrated) but i think Scream 2 is also cropped 1.78:1...

Apparently you can't buy the uncut unless you live in Australia.
