It's more of a popularity thing than anything else. How many of Steve Nash's jersey are sold compared to Kobe or KG.

The $99.99 package includes the game (obviously), an exclusive Kobe Bryant figurine by McFarlane Toys, a Kobe Bryant poster, a video about the NBA 2K series, and an account on the "Gold Room," a special VIP online lobby for the game.

Oh, the package also includes a storage locker designed to hold 20 games. That's furniture. This game comes with furniture.
thinking about that CE for myself... its too much though. idk if i want it yet lol

I am so getting the special edition! Then again, is it just me or the exclusive online VIP lobby a dumb idea?

I haven't purchased an NBA title since NBA Live 99, but with a collector's edition like that, I just may have to get it. Besides, all of my cousins purchase this title every year. I might as well hop online and own them.

Totally! Especially when the game alone is slated to go for $59.99 already. We might as well shell out an extra $30 for this awesome package, right?

Went to my local gamestop and put my 10 deposit down today for the Limited Edition One.

I'm not sure if I want it yet, but I want to hold it at least, seeing as they're supposed to have only 30k available. Worse case I change my mind I can get my 10 bucks back

I'm a diehard LeBron fan but I know Kobe deserves this one, if LeBron will become a Champion in the next years, then maybe he'll appear in the cover of any NBA game.

Anybody going to start an online league for this game? Is there even an option? I missed out on last year so I'm planning on getting it this year. I need to to find a new team. I'm getting tired of the Warriors, the players are so blah! I miss the days when they kicked the crap out of the Mavericks. LOL.

Hmm without avoiding the bashing, could someone give the pros/cons of 2k10 versus the EA game?

I haven't bought an NBA game since NBA '07 and would like another one. Kobe on the cover makes it more enticing, too.

Also thinking I might actually get a CE for a change, since I could use that locker for my PS3 games to make room since my BD cabinet is getting full.

graphics are better, animations smoother, gameplay is more refined, physics, presentation, etc. Everything about the 2K series is better. I just hope 2K10 isnt as glitchy as 2K9. I also hope they got rid of that stupid ass "slowdown to catch the ball on a fast break" animation that they inexplicably brought back last year. Also hope they add more retro/throwback jerseys. I see that NBA Live 2010 has the Phoenix Suns 92/93 throwbacks, my favorite jersey of all time. 2K10 BETTER have them as well!

Basically the 2K series is more fast paced suits for more hardcore fans. Things like the association mode (similar to the season mode in Live) is way more indepth and involved than its counter part. So basically if you want to play the game as if you are a real-life Lakers GM, go with the 2K series. If you just wanted to have fun without worrying too much about stretagies and what not, go with the Live series.

By the way, I already pre-ordered the special edition. Can't wait for it to come out!
