BBQ during the day with family & kids.
keg & liquor to drink on

thank god the 4th is on a saturday so i can 'recover' on sunday

fireworks at night

First year with my 3 month old son and my 4 yr old daughter is afraid of fireworks. So just a BBQ probably with my wife and kids, and maybe the in-laws....nothing special. However, I am on vacation the following week, so that is the first day of my vacation. But I'm not doing anything on vacation either, had to have a fence put up becuase of my annoying neighbors on BOTH sides. Maybe better luck next year for this guy.....

Holy crud, its almost 4th of July already. Crap. Probably hang out with the fam. BBQ. Drink. Sit down by the pool. Get sunburned. Then fireworks. Fun all around.

Hopefully go to a friend's parents place on a lake and go boating/drinking/laying out. However if my friends parents and brothers and their wives/kids are there it'd be too crowded so might just sit around doing nothing.

does your store close early for july 4 so you can have the night off? when i worked grocery we closed at like 4 or 5 that day...i think...

I'll get off around 4. But as for the store closing early then no. 10pm here. Saturdays are our busiest days and the 4th just happens to fall on a Saturday. But it should be no problem. I have it packed out with certain 4th of July stuff and be done with it. But after this I might go see a movie. Because on the 3rd I'm going to a ball-game here and they'll have fireworks there.

ball game and fireworks...did that last year, always a great way to spend the 4th (or 3rd

and maybe we stayed open normal hours too...i cant remember at all...

We usually close early on Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve. Publix has its days where they close early.

What are you guys doing for 4th of July, 2010?

Not sure, but probably going to my aunties house to go swimming and shoot some fireworks in their back yard.

I'm on vacation starting Monday!

I'll probably cook some chicken wings and drink a few beers... inside. I'm getting too old for this heat. I need a good indoor job. Summers are starting to really work on me.

I guess I could just rent a top floor room at the Hyatt downtown on the river and watch the fireworks show. Maybe order my wings. Do you think if I tipped good enough a Hooters girl would deliver them?

I hear ya man! This heat sucks. It was cloudy majority of the day, but I was able to do the grass 6:00 with no sun around. It was great!
