If you decide to sell it let me know.

Mac: I bricked my iPhone doing a firmware upgrade.
PC: Surely that can't be given Apple's far superior reliability and quality control that you've been throwing in my face for years.
Mac: Oh ... bite me

I know where you're coming from. I'm a PC for years. I build my own for the most part and will never change, so long as I can pick motherboard, processor, sound, video, case, heatsinks, fans, drives, etc. from makes and models of my choice and set the clockspeed for a PC. Mac owners I know like a machine they can turn on and off, surf the web, pay the taxes, and feel elite because they afforded a Mac. I am happy knowing I get more bang for my buck and satisfaction of making my own machine. I know some PC owners who should be Mac owners, but they are cheapskates, but pay the difference back in visits to the geeksquad to troubleshoot. Please understand, I am only talking about individuals close to me, and I in no way generalized to Mac and PC owners everywhere.

But, my iPhone has been awesome, trouble free, the best phone I've had for years, and it took me one business day to get a replacement. My wife updated hers without problems. It was a freak thing, more than likely. I have had far more trouble with my homemade and storebought PC's than I have had with my iPhone, per unit time spent with them.

My phone arrived yesterday. I synced, updated and all is good.

I don't like adware, spyware, viruses, or having to bog down a machine by using a program to protect yourself from those losers who sit in their basements making up the next virus.

I'll pay much more for a mac, knowing that it'll be running nice and quick when I need it.
