Well, not to sound mean, but depending on what you believe, Heath may've gotten the long vacation he wanted. I'm not sure if it's paid or not though.

Anyhow, I'm not sure I believe it. Not that I knew him, but it doesn't sound like something any "professional" actor would do. Is there an equivalent movie industry term to baseball's "bush league"?

Actors(in high school) call it something like phoning in a performance. I have no doubt it actually happens but there is almost no way a performance like Heath's in Dark Knight was "phoned in".

I'm new here, so I apologize if I'm late to the party, but does this Beast dude hate The Dark Knight?

I agree with both your Yup and your However. I've heard of this before with others for one. And There's been a lot of stories of how Ledger avoided super stardom. He was however interested in earning and maintaining respect from his fellow thespians so I totally see him bonding with people on Nolan's set if not Nolan himself. He tapped into gold with what he decided to do and I'm glad he did.

Yeah, how dare I have a different opinion.

How dare I not want to drop on my knees and give Nolan, Bale, and Ledger "proper" respect.

How dare anyone have different tastes on here. We should all be sheep.

I think what he was implying was that for someone who hates a movie so much (as many people seem to be pointing out) you are in a thread that talks about the movie; seems odd to me. I don't care either way if you like it or not, that's you business. Your reasons for disliking it are also yours. I happened to think it was one of the best movies I have ever seen. When I don't like something I don't spend my time talking about it. I hate anime so I know for damn sure I wouldn't head into a thread about it just to bash it. Again, seems a little odd to me.

You realize this thread isn't technically about the movie... right.

Wow, what a shocker. Someone who doesn't like the movie is gonna see a thread screaming "Heath Ledger tried to Sabotage The Dark Knight?" and is not gonna be curious about it and want to know and why? And then reading the article, has an opinion that it explains a lot. It's not the circle jerk about Dark Knight thread.

Dude, I did not call this a "Dark Knight circle jerk" and while it may not be about the movie, it is about an aspect of the movie, a movie you apparently hate, therefore I wonder why you would even care if Ledger tried to sabotage the film. If you do, cool. Read the article and leave your opinion. But my guess is most people who would enter a thread with Dark Knight in the title would be fans of the film. All I did was ask a simple question cause I'm new and curious. Other people seem to have an issue with your dislike of TDK; I do not.

So no, I don't believe this. We didn't know it directly from Ledger.

Moreover, it sounds a so unprofessional thing to do, it's not like him.
I agree. If that were the case, why would it come out now, and not earlier?

Yes, and you'll see that expressed in every single thread having anything to do with the film.

Incorrect. Cause other than the posts merged into the main thread, I don't post in there.

That's for fans of the movie. Of which I am not. The extras were good though.
