Joe Satriani - Metallica - Rammstein
Dream Theater - Rob Zombie - Trans Siberian Orchestra
You hit most of them on the head.

Deftones: Something heavy, unlike the Deftones in Hawaii (I live in Sacto, Ca, where they are from, so Deftones is a must)
Metallica: S&M - #1
Rammstein: Volkerball
Machine Head: Elegies
Rob Zombie: I can just imagine all of the fire / 15 feet tall zombies on stage
Tool - Anything

Alice In Chains - There are some clips on youtube from around 92/93. A BD of that show would be completely awesome

Queensryche - Operation Livecrime

Slayer - Still Reigning

lol MetallicA's "Live Sh*t" was the first I thought of, the Seattle-one first though.
But the other ones should definitely be done in HD too, after all those are from the same package.

Besides that, 'Cunning Stunts' and 'S&M' would be awesome in HD too.
I would also love to have some improvements in the audio for those last two.
Because they're not that great first of all, and somehow they come across kind of weak.
Well, "Cunning" mostly, 'S&M' is quite strong on DVD, but stronger on CD.
Those would look beautiful too, the two extremes;
Two obnoxious metal stages and one classy hard-wooden auditorium-stage.

Oh, I was also thinking, or hoping, they should release them in widescreen.
Unless they're not shot that way, which would be a shame.
But I have a feeling it's all 4:3 for some reason...

Other titles I thought of were... Ramms+ein's 'Live Aus Berlin', amazing show.
But the rest they did, at least later, would be great in HD too.

Ehm, I feel like I forgot some...
KoRn's shows, even though they're quite simple and fine on DVD.
There already are one or two, but OK...
While Iron Maiden was mentioned with their 'Flight 666', all the rest of the archive should be in HD too. lol
Well, let's keep that at 'Live After Death' (if possible) and at least 'Rock In Rio'.
Because the latter one just screams for an upgrade visually.
That one, being from 2001, must be shot in widescreen, hopefully...
Not that 'Live After Death' shouldn't be in HD, but yeah, wonder how much better it could get being from 1985...

Edit:

OH, I remember what I forgot now!
I saw that MetallicA recorded a recent show "for DVD".
Weird they didn't say "...and Blu-ray", but there can be no doubt it will appear on BD too then.
If it won't, well... that would just be ridiculously stupid.
But meh, not really looking forward to it, a little, but MetallicA pretty much sucks live now.
They have improved since 2004-2006, but their sound is a drag and their playing is average.
No HD-release is going to fix that...

And... 'Monsters Of Rock' live at Moscow, kickazz!
They should either do the full festival version or just MetallicA, or even both.
Reminds me, they should also release some AC/DC and maybe PanterA in HD.
Reason for "maybe" is that I'm not sure about any significant shows on home-video currently.
Besides, AC/DC has some bigger visual shows too.

Oh man... I totally forgot about Godsmack's 'Changes', that's one awesomely raw show.
And the options for audio just on DVD alone!
I quote: "Dolby 5.1, DTS, 5.1 Multi-Channel or PCM Stereo/SRS Circle Surround Sound".
Let alone what they might put on a BD...
But it already looks great on DVD, it would look (and sound) just beautiful on BD.
The other earlier show would be cool in HD too. Oh yeah, 'Godsmack Live' it's simply called.

Geez... how could I forget this one... even better: SlipKnoT's 'Disasterpieces'.
If that's not enough, I don't know anymore.

Metallica, AC/DC, Godsmack, and Ozzy would be at the top of my list for Heavy Metal concerts on Blu.

Some other older school concerts (not necessarily Heavy Metal) would be Ramones, Berlin, Blondie, Black Flag, and Skinny Puppy. Some older NIN concerts would be cool as well.

'Live At Budokan' Excellent DVD.

I actually noticed I kind of put it off-genre there, mentioning AC/DC and such.
Which are more of Hard-Rock, also some Metal depending the songs and how it's played.
But you know...

Ozzy, more AC/DC, Priest with Halford, more Maiden, Dio and some Kiss and I'd be set. I know Gene and Paul love money so there is bound to be enough footage somewhere for a blu-ray release.

Pantera would be great but there's not alot of professionally shot footage of them. I've seen some pro shot stuff from a Ozzfest 2000 DVD and there's some old material from the early 90's too.

There could be shows from Europe out there since some metal festivals are broadcast on TV. Who knows.

There's tons of their own footage from them and the crew. I don't think it wouldn't benefit from being put on Blu though. Other than for space, DVD would be good enough.

what about a blu of marilyn manson from the antichrist superstar tour? nice cleaned up copy of the dead to the world vid...or the bizarre fest show from august 97, that would be interesting
Those are some of the shows I was referring to. I have proshot footage (from MTV Europe) of Pantera from 94 from Donnington and one from Korea in 98. Most Pantera shows were shot on video though. Not sure if it would benefit from being put on Blu-ray. Whenever Vinnie decides to release the (rumored) Pantera box set maybe something will be announced.

Yeah, that's why I didn't mention them straight away,
I didn't really know if there was any like "big" video-releases of them.
But I'd love to see a better version of them at that 'Monsters Of Rock Festival' in Moscow.
The same counts for MetallicA at the same thing, or even the whole festival with AC/DC and all.
And like you mentioned, the Ozzfest-gig, which is the one with the burning logo and all right?

But yeah, probably won't become stellar quality, but they could put a lot on one or two BDs.
Besides, trying to use the originals and perhaps tweaking the audio would do good.
But not too much changing, because the audio I've heard from simple downloads were already good.
I mean, I wouldn't want the "sound" to be altered, of the guitars and drums and all.
