Apocalypto, no question. Crank used to be a good one, but it's easily taken by this, and also Pirates 2: Dead Man's Chest. Pirates 1 pretty good too, but for some reason to me some of the live action shots looked like they were CG animation, don't know if it's just me, the film, the encoding, whatever. But Apocalypto was absolutely stunning from start to end.

Apocalypto to me has the best PQ i've seen. When I received it and watched it with a group of friends, the opening seen with the Jungle was AMAZING, from there on out it was clear and crisp. I would say POTC 1 and 2 come in second, followed by Ghost Rider.

Hellboy is definitely a top-tier title as is Crank, the POTC films, Apocalypto, Casino Royale, Open Season, Stranger Than Fiction, The Prestige, Black Hawk Down, Rocky Balboa, The Searchers and a few others.

Chicken Little
Casino Royale
Black Hawk Down

In that order. No, haven't seen Apocalypto or POTC1&2, Netflix refuses to send them to me....

enjoy

I think the question about the best looking Blu-Ray title is akin to asking which meal tastes best. It would be easier to answer this question if we narrowed down the categories:
- best transfer of a film-based material (POTC series)
- best transfer of a video-based material (Apocalypto)
- best transfer of an animation material (Chicken Little)

Absolutely as it has a sweet picture as well as great sound qualty.
The movies very good also despite what critics had to say when it was in theaters.

I'd say IMO

Hands down: 1) POTC 1&2 (if only they would have filled the entire screen)
3) Ghost Rider (crystal clear cgi)/Crank
4) The Departed/Casino Royale/Apocolypto
5) The Prestige

Do think Plant Earth will come out with MPEG-4 and Dolby TrueHD. With this format I'm guess 4-50GB BR-ROM. Right Why would Warner Bros use old Standard Dolby Digital 5.1 and VC-1 on this beautiful documentary.

Apocalypto, Casino Royale, POTC 1 & 2 and Planet Earth are the best "display" movies imo.

As for pure PQ, I'd say Apocalypto just pips the others slightly.

I watched this last night and I have to agree. It is right there with the best Bd transfers. An excellent story too that will have you reaching for the tissue.

Disturbia is my favourite at the moment. The AVC encoding that constants around 35 Mbit/s is fantastic (to my novice eyes).

Completely agree, the transfer is seamless and really shows off the brute strength Blu-ray has got to offer. Say down and watched it last night and loved every minute of it. Clear as a bell..
