Hi,

I experience the exact same clicking noise of every 20 - 30mins on my onkyo 507.

I was so fed up and lived with it for 2 months till i managed to solve it.

Now turn your reciever to standby mode and you can see the red light . Then hold the VCR button (on the receiver), then press the power button (on your receiver) to power on. This will RESET your system memory (which means you have to calibrate your settings all over).

I did this reset continuously for five times, as i was rather frustrated with it at that time.

Then, my onkyo 507 worked fine ever since. hope it helps!

Ok resurrecting this thread. I have been noticing clicking only when watching TV. It will click as though its switching sources. I understand it would click between commercials and HD shows, but it clicks when I'm watching a show in HD. I have the listening mode set to direct. Should I change it to PLII? I haven't noticed it while playing games or watching blu rays on the PS3

Very frustrated with this problem. I can't seem to fix it and its really bothering me. I can't even watch band of brothers in peace because all i think about it the clicking noise and then i hear it. I don't know if its worth me returning and trying to get a replacement or just skip this model and spend the extra $100 and get the 707. Thoughts?
