The new 350 - I'll assume the old one has similar specs - has a bigger cabinet, a larger driver and a more powerful amp than the 300. Although they're both rated to 18Hz +/- 3dB, in-room the 350 will most likely outperform the 300.

I called eD today, and ask about the A5-350 old style, they have it for $57s but it come with a 300 watts amp, they toll me the new amp wont fit in the old box and it takes 2 weeks for the sub to be sent.
The shipping of the MFW-15 is $130. I'm also looking to buy a sub, do you guys think the old A5-350 is better that the svs pb12-nsd, cause of the bigger sub even with the smaller amp? |

The quality of bass sound from a subwoofer depends on many factors:

I think it used to be $199 to your nearest Yellow terminal and then you had to go pick it up. But looking at their site, it gives UPS options as well.

I paid $130 for shipping on my MFW-15 and the subwoofer is outstanding IMHO. Haven't had a problem with it and I've had it for a year and have been driving it pretty hard too. It weighs in at 120lbs for shipping and it comes right to your front door.
eD makes excellent equipment as well. |

![]() Keep in mind that it is a rather large subwoofer and if you don't like feeling of stuff flying off shelves and possibly the punch in your seat from explosions on the screen.... then you might want to stay away from this one ![]() But, everyone likes a certain sound. I like to feel explosions without the use of butt kickers and it is surprisingly accurate for a 15" woofer. Its all in the enclosure they built for this beast. Also, remember that it is large and takes some room. Last edited by Footloose301; 08-21-2009 at 01:39 AM. |

I was merely getting the point across to you. You made a false statement and went one step further by bolding it.
![]() Now that everyone has the correct information; Mother always taught me that two wrongs don't make a right, so I'm sorry for the CAPS ![]() |

By what I'm reading, I believe Mark(the AV123 owner) is a pretty standup kind of guy and he's been replacing those amps with a simple phone call. If I wasn't an honest person then I'd be calling and asking for the newer one, but I am crossing my fingers that mine will be O.K.
I probably wouldn't buy one used just because of the few months of production on those MFW-15 that they were having problems with. I really wish I had some extra cash to pick up 2 more for our theater room. ![]() |
