Definitely an improvement on the visual end. I couldn't tell if I was playing with anyone from Europe though. Nobody had headsets for me to confirm with.
Or they just didn't want to say anything. I do that quite often (don't talk even though my mic is active), but I will usually say something to help people troubleshoot.

People just don't use the mics for what it's REALLY meant to do (help with gameplay).

Anyway, it's nice to finally see this patched. I returned my unopened copy the moment I found out about the terrible job they did on the PS3 version. That crap can't be supported. Maybe I'll pick up a copy now (need more details though).

Nope. In the lobby of the online game before you start, even if you have your mic muted, the mic icon is still present. In this case, the game I was in, there were no mic icons present on the other players icons/banners/player info cards (whatever you want to call them). So, it wasn't that they didn't want to say anything, it's that they didn't have headsets connected to their PS3s.

Like what kind of details do you need? They summed up the major issues that they addressed with the patch. Graphics are equal to Xbox360 version now. Major issues with online play have been resolved. Two glitched trophies work now.

Didn't like this game when it first came out. I don't think a patch will change my mind.

It says graphics are on par with the 360 now for single player. Does this mean 360's multiplayer graphics are better?

Oh, ok. They could've just decided not to hook them up/turn them on (I do that too), but no big deal.

Some say there is a graphics upgrade, but it's not 720p. I want to make sure (an all clear from Quaz51 would do it).

I do as well. I'm interested in buying the game now that it is fixed, but it seems to me to fix the graphics to minimum 720p native and vastly improved textures would require the following choices:

Quick and cheap way: Have the patch Upscale the graphics to 720p, and improve about half the textures, including characters.

The right way: Remodel the graphics at true 720p, replace all the textures to the same resolution of the 360 version.

Doing it way No.2 would mean major work on the game and a rather large update, probably somewhere in the region of close to a Gig. How big IS the update, from those that have downloaded it?

THANK GOD! I can do multiplayer! Then maybe I can get 100% trophies!!

I'm re-installing the game tonight!

The graphics realy didn't bother me to begin with. I played through it where I borrowed it and I still wanted to buy it after beating it. I would have played through it again with or without the patch.

But without the patch the multiplayer was almost unplayable with the connection errors.

our analysis is pretty much confirmed at a minor resolution bump up to 1024x576.

The picture comparison really shows the differences. The ps3 still far from being on par with xbox 360.

I don't really care. There is a noticeable difference now. Besides, the graphics were not important. The game is UNBELIEVABLY FUN ONLINE!!! The gameplay itself shatters any minor quibbles I have with the resolution. Seriously!!!

I agree with you. I don't care much usually for online games, but that one has something very fun!

The most wanted ghost capturing remains in tact. I can vouch for that.

See, Petra?! When a developer like Terminal Reality comes along and lies like it did the first time around, it's best not to believe them the 2nd time without evidence. That analysis saved me a from a big mistake. Devs like them CAN'T be allowed to prosper!
