i wonder how many trophies I'd have now if they were avaliable from launch

None, because I'd rather good teams work on new products than go back and add a feature to an old game which won't be used by 90% of the game's owners and won't cause any new purchases either.

oblivion, i dont care if they would be lame or not, i would still replay that for the trophies

Flow, Everyday Shooter, and Tekken 5. If they patch more old retail games I will have to go and buy them again. I dont have the time or money. The fall slab is coming next month already!

I've been having the urge to play this again too every time I see the box. I know trophies will never come but that would push me over the edge for sure.

Well if I recall RR6 on the 360 had some really hard Achievements, so if Namco were to patch them, they would probably be just as difficult.

Also, I forgot about:

The Orange Box: If I recall, the 360 (and probably PC too via Steam) version had 99 Achievements. If that was brought over to the PS3, there would be hours of hoarding the damn things.

Lost Planet: Yes the game looked and ran like ass, but the gameplay was rather fun. Think of what it would be like battleing big beasts for bronze.

Sega Rally Revo: I had a lot of fun playing online on this. Too bad no one plays online anymore on it. I'm pretty sure there would be a whole load of people coming back if a trophy patch was released.

Gran Turismo 5: Prolouge: Even though this would intrest me a lot, Polyphony just won't do it seeing GT5 is almost here.

The only game I think probably should have gotten patched for trophies - but didn't - is Metal Gear Solid 4. The emblem system is already in place in the game, so they could have just piggybacked the trophy detection into the code.

It was also released close enough to the introduction of trophies to have been reasonably retrofitted (as Grand Theft Auto 4 eventually did).

Other than that single title, I agree with you that I'd rather have developers working on new game content.
