I know you're bieng sarcastic, but for analogue signals I do believe there is a difference between cables. That doesn't mean you have to spend a fortune, some descent mogami cables are more then enough (and can be diy'ed for next to nothing, or you can always find someone to build them for you and the price still is quite small).

Anyway, I agree that there is no real difference between digital cables (unless one is prone to faults due to poor quality control etc). However a good hdmi cable can be had for around $5.

For those unable to view the video, here is the list:

10. Not sound-proofing the room
9. Not calibrating your equipment
8. Not having a universal remote control
7. Not realizing that resolution is more important than screen size
6. Having a screen that's too large (or small) for the room
5. Waiting for the BD / HD DVD format war to end before buying a new player
4. Not future-proofing your amp / receiver
3. Focusing entirely on either the TV or audio while neglecting the other
2. Buying by price instead of what you really want
1. Believing a $300 cable is significantly better than a $30 one (especially when carrying digital signals)
