The original forum post was a link to an Amazon.ca listing for $53. I saw it with my own eyes, thought nothing of it, and now nothing is available for a lower price. Considering Costco has Amazon's price beat on the TOS movies by quite a bit, here's hoping they'll do the same with this series.

just picked up TNG Movie Collection from Costco today. I can confirm 100% they do have the matrix troligy for $39.99 and a bunch of them at that.

I actually had the $53 set on pre-order for a long while. They removed it from availability on the day it was supposed to be shipped and have it listed as "we're trying to get more; we'll let you know". I'm just going to let it sit there until they either get more or I find it around the same price.

However, I'm looking for ToS: S2 for much cheaper than the $90 price point. I got S1 for $54 at Wal-mart and a $30+ price difference is too big to pass up.

I bought the Next Gen collection for $59.99 and Season 2 for $76.99, both at Future Shop.

Not great deals but no wait for shipping and 30 days to price match any better offers.

At Costco the Next Gen collection is $57.99 and season 2 is $68.99... go to FS and collect your $10!

They price match Costco?

If that's true, thanks

Plus it has to be an advertised price, and their website has nothing.

I would bet that we will see some kind of deal from Walmart or elsewhere before the 30 days are up.

maybe, but i'd rather reward costco for their great prices and just buy it from there. dont think anyone will beat that deal.

Yep the Walmart price is not very good - was just there and had them scan it. That's too bad since I thought Walmart was going to be the Star Trek Blu-ray king with their history from the last releases.

I'm going to hold off and wait for the inevitable future great sale somewhere.

I grabbed it at FS on release day for $59.99.

They tried to give me a regular DVD set first

Amazon.ca has it back in stock and mine shipped today at $52.95. Glad I held out as it's now selling for $73.49. The pre-order price was a great deal by those standards.

Ridiculous price Amazon.ca is asking. $73.49+13% tax (in my province) = $83.04. How can they charge that much when our dollar is almost equal to the american dollar right now?

Anyways, it's still cheaper to get it from Amazon.com. At $45.99 + exchange rate/shipping/import fees deposit, the final tally as it stands right now would be around $62.05.

Future Shop's final price with tax would be $67.79

Yeah with the dollar almost at par again we'll have to consider amazon.com prices again. Even with the import deposit fee sometimes amazon.com will be cheaper again now.

Isn't it mostly due to the higher MSRP's in Canada? The dollar would have to stay close to par for a period of time before studios started giving reasonable Canadian MSRP's like they did a time a couple of years ago.
