Did anyone actually find Trick R Treat on Bluray today? - Page 2 - Blu-ray Forum

I saw it at Best Buy. They had quite a few.

Also, the video store that I work at usually receives Warner Premium movies. Just last week we got The Hills Run Red, so I naturally assumed we would be getting Trick 'R Treat. No dice. I seems like there may be some truth in that. Kinda reminds me of the way Disney did The Black Cauldron. Finally just released it quietly on DVD and didn't speak of it again. Looks as though Warner released Trick 'r Treat in a small quantity to make back some of their money back and appease some folks and doesn't want us to talk about it. Well, it looks like it's selling like hotcakes and they may not get that. Oh, and my Best Buy got four copies in and were all sold before the end of the work day, but I got mine. Three out of the six local BB's are sold out. All of this by pretty much word of mouth only.

2 Walmarts, Best Buy, Borders, Barnes and Noble, Target, FYE, and not one of them had it in stock. Most of them said they didn't even get a single copy in. So I sucked it up and ordered it from Amazon, guess I'll have to wait a while to see it. Oh well, I've already been waiting about 2 years, what's a few more days? I threw TCM remake and Creepshow on the order too, might as well make it a Halloween marathon when they come in.

My local BB had three copies. I had to get a sales associate to get my copy. For some reason the Blu-rays and dvds were all in the back. I got it for 24.99 with them matching their web site. Watched it yesterday. Great horror flick. It is a must own for any horror fan.

I got my copy at Futureshop, the girl at the counter asked whats so special? "everyone is buying this movie today" And I was there around noon on Tuesday, so maybe they are just selling out everywhere fast?

If you can't find it, check your local Blockbuster

Someone helped me out on this in another thread, but the older film is called Trick Or Treat and it is unrelated to this new one (Trick r' Treat).

the movie itself was finished 2 years ago then got shelved it had some limited screenings and got good reviews and i think people thought it was never going to come out so there is a lot of hype and word of mouth about it so alot of people are buying it and on the other hand most stores were only getting 2-3 copies so it seems to have been "sold out" everywhere

Retailers probably didn't anticipate demand and didn't order enough.

My Best Buy in south Jersey didn't have any. I asked the kid to check on the computer for me and he said that they ordered seven of them to try back on thursday!?! WTF!! So i just went home and ordered it on Amazon.....it will be here tomorrow
