for its time, i would have to say, drakes fortune, it came out in 2007, and it had amazing graphics and amazing gameplay for a earlier ps3 game, and ppl are still rushing to buy it.
oh and the best game for online play ever is, call of duty 4, maybe a poll soon? |

I voted "other" for Resistance. As another poster said, it was the ONLY game to own for a long time, and maybe one of the best opening launch week games of all time....

I was playing Heavenly Sword. Don't remember when that came out though. I voted for Uncharted 2, but now that I think about it, Uncharted DF had more gameplay so I should have voted for the first one.

Uncharted: Drakes Fortune.. it toook soooo long to get the ball rolling for this game, it was initially a failure and the most unhyped misunderstood game.... once i played it i couldnt help but realize this is pure gaming bliss.... there is no loading time, the game plays as 1 big chapter, you walk right into the next chapter with no loading, thats good developing, the scenery is beautiful, it makes you wonder how lazy some other devs are (Terminator Salvation)

To me it leaves Uncharted, Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, and Metalgear Solid 4 to battle for the top spot. I voted for Uncharted 2, but later down the road I feel we will have a new champ in God Of War 3! |

I guess I view this the opposite way. Those other fantastic titles are what makes Uncharted 2 stand out so brightly...as good as those games are they just don't compare.

I bought Warhawk via download just to get it before the stores. It was fantastic from the first minute I fired it up. True, I was very sad that they didn't keep as single player game. I still think on that incredible engine a single player game would be amazing.
I have to agree on Uncharted 2, the fact that it completely eclipses every other game coming out now is further sign of its greatness, Drake's Fortune was much the same and held the title for best game this generation until its sequel hit. Both games raised the bar several notches on multiple levels when they released. |

why only exclusive? personally if a game kicks a@@, i couldnt care less if its exclusive.
Oblivion: Elder Scrolls IV - still hasn't been matched (for its day), looking at replayability, scope of play and interactivity. I love Encharted, but I don't think I'll still be playing that 2 years after release like Oblivion |

yeah. dont get me wrong, I love Uncharted (have still to play U2), but another thing that made me prefer Oblivion to Uncharted was that Oblivion isn't a linear game like Uncharted (i.e. where you HAVE to proceed in one path or direction through a level). In oblivion, you can proceed through a mission, or just go randomly explore the land. you're not confined to only going in one path/direction. i hope U2 at least has some wrong paths to go down, otherwise its just a matter of finding where "the path" continues.
