Oh hell yeah!
The buzz is hot on this one, definitely a blind buy.
I usually read reviews before purchasing games, I'm not really a hardcore gamer.

Got a launch PS3 because it was an awesome game system AND a Blu-ray player. My collection is up over 40 for sure (haven't counted for a while) and I keep on buying. Now I've got 3 players because one just isn't enough! Gotta have the Blu wherever I go.

That's how I started turning Blu. I bought every High School Musical DVDs and CDs including the 2nd HSM Blu-Ray... didn't even know what Blu-Ray is... Started researching, and I'm obsessed with buying Blu-Ray til I got like 50 of blu-rays. Figured I should get a player...

Meanwhile PSblog announced that the MGS bundle will be the last one to be able to play PS2 games. I've always wanted to play Kingdom Hearts and it clicked. I needed to get that. That's my story.... wait... who asked me?

I've never been to someone's house with super HD top of the line 7.1 surround sound so I have no urge for it. I have yet to experience it so i don't know what i'm missing out on, there for no urge to buy one.

good enough for now? Do you plan on finding a "better" blu-ray player in the future.

Let's get this straight for a second: The PS3 is a blu-ray player in every sense of the term. If you have a PS3 there's no need to buy another blu-ray player ever!

As for buying the movies before the player, I would have done the same thing if my roommate had a PS3 before me.
