Look like there's a lot more Blu-ray players than HD DVD players in stock. :-)

I saw a blu-ray player at Sam's Club yesterday, but didn't see any HD-DVD players.

no HD players or movies @ my local Costco. I check every time I go, every two weeks or so.

Heh, even the blu-ray boxes look better than the HD-DVD ones.

Maybe Costco is seeing how the players sell before they stock movies. However, I do believe they got the right balance of units.

If I owned my own electronics store, I would be motivated by what makes me a profit, just like the big guys. However, being a small guy I don't want the HD-DUDers complaining I sold them this unit and take it back when blu-ray wins. For heartaches sake, I would just carry blu-ray.

Talking Here too!

I've seen both the players and movies at my Costco here in NC.

And, yes - they are selling. I think the Sony S300 must be very popular.

Costco Chantilly, VA has players and movies. The Movies are the single Warner Bros. titles like Superman II, Blood Diamond, Corpse bride, etc. as well as the 4-pack of Disney movies. I'm there a couple of times a week and the Blu-Ray players seem to be selling faster then the HD-DUD players.

The thing about Costco is that each store is a franchisee, therefore the selection of goods they carry might not represent the selection in any other Costco store. I have three Costco store in my area, I have recently visited two of them - in Lake Zurich, IL and Algonquin, IL. The store in LZ carries both Sony 301s and Toshiba. The store in Algonquin only has Toshiba. However they do have a pretty equal selection of both HD-DVD and Blu-Ray movie titles, I would say about 10 titles per each format, all BDs priced at $18.95, can't tell what was the price on HD-DVDs, I did not even bother to touch those slimy red discs

Default Blu ray Sales at Costco

So I was at one of my local Costco in Kirkland, Washington (basically M$ country), and I noticed that I didn't see any Blu ray players in the store... but there were plenty of HD DVD players. So I proceeded to ask an employee in the area if they still sell Blu ray players and he said that they were sold out. I proceeded to ask how the HD players were selling and he said that they are constantly selling out of the Blu ray players and that he was surprised because of how much more they were than the HD DVD players.

So, from the state of Washington it appears at least this Costco is seeing a lot of Blu sales. Also, the Blu movies are selling better as well.

Very Very good news for Blu!!!
