I'm dying to see this to be honest. I really can't stand Diablo Cody and find Megan Fox to be something of an insufferable brat (albeit a hot one), but something about this movie reminds me of goofy "school" flicks like The Faculty and Disturbing Behavior - both somewhat silly and a bit lame, but I love 'em just the same!

Just finished watching my Netflix copy, and I really enjoyed this movie. Definitely worth the 1 hour and 40 something minutes of entertainment. I highly recommend at least a rental, but I think this movie is worth having if you like those horror/cult movies.

I will probably purchase this movie to own with my Christmas gift cards or wait for a price drop below $20 in the upcoming months.

Yeah this is one of my favorite movies. I do think it's underrated. I also don't really think of it as a comedy.

Got it couple of weeks ago when it was on sale at Amazon.ca for $4.99. First watched it on Netflix x-years ago and thought it was rather freaky at the time. Watched it again on Blu-ray and it is a better than average horror movie.

Happy 10th anniversary, Jennifer's Body

Megan Fox at her peak attractiveness, before the unnecessary plastic surgeries. Diablo Cody's script was fire, but at the time she was getting backlash from her Juno screenwriting Oscar win, so this film got hated on for no reason before it even came out.

The only thing that ages this film is the flip phones, but other than that it still holds up pretty well.

I hope you all give it a re-watch this Halloween season.

The bolded is actually an unfortunate trend that I noticed happening around like the late 2000’s (say like 2006-2007). Well, that’s when I think it STARTED, or at least, that’s when I really started noticing it.

It’s like people didn’t WANT to like anything and it seemed like people would only focus on what they didn’t like it.

I notice it a lot these days too and I dunno, it’s just frustrating because nothing can just be fun, even being a “geek”.

yeah the whole hipster geek-hater thing is tiresome
to some extent it was already happening by mid-90s as a sort grunge-hater thing, everything is dumb unless it's bad ass, tough, depressing and violent, anything else is to be mocked and laughed at as corny or vapid, etc.

but it got totally out of control probably vaguely around the time you say

many hipsters are very cool, but the sneering, everything is beneath me, everything sucks, i'm soooo brilliant even though I have like a 101, if not 90, IQ, type of hipster (although it's really more general than that now for a long time) have made fanbases into a miserable mess

So glad this film became the cult classic it deserved to be. It’s a sharp film with some interesting themes, and Megan Fox was at the peak of her brief popularity (I don’t think she’s gotten plastic surgery BTW. Just wears a lot of makeup). It was too smart for mainstream audiences.

I’m pretty sure I’ve only ever watched this once lol, but the highlight of the film will always be Bill Faggerbakke’s appearance lmao.

Megan Fox was gorgeous in it too of course which was appreciated

I might give this a spin again this Halloween season. I haven't watched it in a while, but I do enjoy it.

I have the BD double feature w/ Buffy: The Vampire Slayer. Pretty random combination.

I'll have to check this movie out again. I saw it when it first came out on video and thought it was OK but I am surprised by the cult following. Hopefully it's some kind of hidden gem on my next watch.

I've never seen this, but I've ready and heard so many positive things about it in the last year, I feel like I need to.

I think it's very underrated - Karyn Kusama does a great job directing, and it went in directions I didn't expect. Go in blind, as a horror fan I think you'll find it's not as tame as it might look!
