I think this really helped show that fact. Until now, he's just been talking alongside MS and Tosh, and hasn't had to answer face-to-face w/ consumers. They're trying to say that consumers are picking HD DVD (look at how they talk about HD DVD's standalone advantage, and their recent press release on the "turn-around" BS), but when they got the chance to talk to consumers, they were asked about why they're not going blu. Now, I think it's impossible that there were no consumers there who supporting them, but this story says nothing of that, and only of Blu people who are attacking the "advantages" they are touting.

Facing the public always show the reality of the situation in a consumer business, and this story showed that they're out of touch w/ them, as exemplified by the "I don't watch movies on my computer" and other quotes. Others at Uni will see this, on top of the BBuster news that Penton-Man or Paidgeek said already got some thinking, and this just adds fuel to that fire.

EXACTLY! This is a home THEATER technology, not portable tech. I can just see the new HD-DVD ad campaign with HP: "HD-DVD - The look and sound of a 15" screen and cheap airline headphones."
DVD was a full technology, it's used for computers as well. Blu-ray drives are available on computers, and they write discs. However, they've got nothing at all to talk about there, as the main thing you want with next-gen optical media will be capacity and durability, which BD has.

Read the comments under the article, those HDDVD clowns have to be some of the most ignorant and downright stupid people in the world. It's amazing really.
