I second the motion!! I have the Blade Runner set and am squirming in my chair just thinking about the Alien Quadrilogy on Blu, which I have on SD but is still spectacular. Obviously, LOTR, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, etc. are in there as well for future releases.

I also recommend Band of Brothers, Bourne Trilogy, Die Hard Collection, Firefly, Pirates of the Carribean, Planet of the Apes 40-Year Evolution, The Sopranos Season 6 Part 1, The Sopranos Season 6 Part 2, Star Trek TOS Season 1, Star Trek TOS Season 2, TTSCC Season 1, TTSCC Season 2, Wizard of Oz UCE, all of which I own...

Anyone with an HDTV and a BD player should own Planet Earth....also True Blood season 1 gets my vote.

i like to have each release in its own case, the box sets would throw off the look of my collection, unless i put them all at the end but i still dont like that idea

Always amazes me when people won't get great movies because of the packaging.

So far the only box set I have is for the Resident Evil Trilogy. However, I bought it used and the big box was a little rough looking so I tossed it. I also have all three Underworld films, but I didn't buy them as a set. I want:

The Bourne Trilogy
The Spiderman Trilogy
The X-Men Trilogy

And when they become available I want:

The Alien box set
The original Star Wars Trilogy
LOTR extended versions

IMO, there is no better box set available on BD than Band of Brothers. Planet Earth (BBC Version) is definitely also a must-have, as well as the three Bond sets, although you can buy them individually.

I'd recommend the Firefly complete series on Blu way above the SD version. The audio is so superior. It's a grainy TV show, but it looks really good on Blu too.

I own 11 trilogy sets...some not really sets, like Transporter. I was amazed when I first realized how many trilogies I had...have since added a couple more.

....IMHO...
So don't understand why Spider-Man hasn't been split yet....guess they have too many copies of the third film, afraid they'll be stuck with them.....I really want Spidey 2 on Blu!!

Also waiting for Die Hard set to include the R version of all 4 flicks.

Of course Star Wars and LoTR Extended set too.

Ones that already exist:
"The Matrix" Ultimate Collection. It's my third-favorite film franchise; they rock! All three movies, plus the "Animatrix" in HD and 35 hours of extras, all in a nice slim glossy box. It rocks.

Both "Star Trek" box sets (original series and Next Generation series). I love all ten films regardless of their flaws (and despite the DNR on some of these movies). Lots of extras on each disc. Comes in nice boxes. I love 'em.

"Pirates of the Carribbean" box set. They're fun movies, they all have two discs each with wonderful PQ/AQ and extras.

"The X-Men" box set. The movies are great. They have good quality and lots of extras. Comes in a nice box.

"The Mummy" box set. Great fun movies, good quality, many extras, and a decent box.

Box sets for the "Oceans 11" trilogy, "AvP," the "X-Files" movies, the "Mission Impossible" trilogy, the "Starship Troopers" trilogy, and the Ultimate Force of Four box set (including "Hero," "Iron Monkey," "Zatoichi," and "Legend of the Drunken Master") are not bad either, IMO.

Ones that are not released that I'd love to see:
"Lord of the Rings" trilogy...extended edition!
"Star Wars" Episodes I-VI
"Indiana Jones" (preferrably as a trilogy, since I got the fourth one separate and I'm sure many folks don't want it included)
"The Terminator" (not that I need one, but I always felt they should box all of them together. Maybe they will when #6 comes out)
"James Bond" series, all 20 original movies in a box
"Alien" movies. It might be nice if they put all "Alien," "Predator," and "AvP" movies in a box set (hopefully coming out next year!), but then again, it wouldn't surprise me if it never happens.
"Superman" Ultimate collection, with all the same goodies as the ultimate collection DVD.
"Rambo," with all four movies included (or maybe all five if and when #5 gets made).
And probably some others...

I am now looking for boxset Blu-ray titles and they seem to be slow in coming.
I have a few and find that some are very worthwhile, such as:

The Bourne Trilogy
The Rocky Undisputed Collection
The Ultimate Matrix Collection
The Mummy Trilogy
The X-Men Trilogy
Harry Potter Years 1-5
The Pirates Trilogy
Underworld Trilogy
Spiderman Trilogy

My favorite is the Bourne boxset. It has so much info on the author and follows the path that led him to writing the series, and the making of docs are fabulous.
Of course, I can't wait for Star Wars and Indiana Jones.
Yes, All what you have mentioned and add the following as well
- The Godfather collection
- Die Hard collection
- The omen collection

-Dirty Harry (And to date the best blu-ray box set out there. Loaded with great extras and the whole franchise is pretty solid, including the sequels.)
-The Godfather.
-Spider-man
-X-Men
-Planet of the Apes

May not be the obvious choice but I say, Terminator : The Sarah Connor Chronicles. For a TV show it looks really good, if only Warner had given these lossless tracks they would have been perfect.

Planet Earth is a monumental achievement on so many different levels. It was my first blu and is still my favorite. Each episode is incredibly entertaining, the PQ is as obvious of a 5 star rating as any out there, and the narration is great. Words cannot describe how amazing it is.

Band of Brothers is also a no-brainer. Without a doubt (of course imo) the best mini-series ever created and the best war movie or show ever created.

The Matrix is also a no-brainer, as long as you like at least two of the films. It is hands down the best blu package for extras, with a MIND-BOGGLING 35+ hours of bonus material. Each of the films also looks and sounds great.

I would also highly recommend Pirates--the PQ is as good as it gets.
