I'm not a steelbook fan either and I don't ever want to have them but I try to ignore them instead of being bothered by them.

I'm glad they are an option for people who want them.

Everone in this forum is entitled to an opinion. In saying that it might help to not come to a thread that supports something and throw a random comment out there that might stir up things.
Kinda like coming to bluray.com and saying HD should have made it instead.
Part of me wishes their wasnt so many fans of Steelbooks

easier to get some of these bad boys that way.

I don't care for Steelbooks. IMO, I buy Blu's for the movie, not the packaging. Actually, I like my packaging to be as lean as possible--I wish all Blu's came in cases like the ones inside the Star Trek collections.

But I understand why Steelie's might be important to collectors. Like the same way I don't buy individual comic books, but I do collect hardcover volumes of titles I enjoy. Whatever floats your boat.

Am I the only one here who isn't a Blu-Ray fan?

I mean, they are cool in that they are flat and round, but I really like the way Betamax tapes whirr and spin and how you can tick off your friends by not rewinding the tapes.

You can also pull the tape out from inside and use them for party streamers.

Is there anyone else here who is not a Blu-ray fan? Let's unite! You bring the player, I'll bring the tapes, and we'll watch DRAGONSLAYER until the cows come home!
