It's a great movie but if your someone who gets hung up on the cheese factor associated with stop motion/claymation you may not like it. The story and acting are top notch though.

Loved this as a kid, remeber Post Cereal had stickers, they were all over my lunchbox. I got the DVD and have only watched it a 3 or 4 times. I will get the Blu-ray after price drops to 14.99.

No, just would NEVER consider this one of the top ten movies as you do...ever. It's not even Harryhausen at his best (which would be The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad).

I'll probably buy it but there are hundreds, if not thousands, of films I would rate much higher than this.

I just figured out what this movie was. I remembered seeing the stop-motion animated Medusa battle at the end on TV when I was a little kid, but always assumed it was a 50's or 60's film. I'm so glad I figured this out...it's been a mystery to me for years! Yay for Blu-ray shedding light on age old questions! ;-)

Man I love this movie! I have only ever watched it on HBO as a kid and rented on vhs. I am looking foward to seeing this in widescreen hd. Personally I think the cover art looks good, you got medusa,the kraken,and pegasus at the last battle scene plus Hamlin and the sword. Makes it look a little more modern but in a good way.

Awesome!! I had the stickers as well, came in Sugar Crisp if I remeber correctly. I sent away for the poster to stick them on to tho.

Looking forward to this release, stop motion done correctly is a lost art.
