according to the first ppost in this thread, weren't the blu-ray and DVD supposed to release together? as in the same time? or am I just reading it wrong?

Sometimes the DVDs get leaked before shipout time. Well, actually, often. So yes, maybe they're supposed to release together, but someone probably got their hands on the DVD early.

Personally I have seen no signs of this BD in the NCR region. I have even been checking since the 5th, on almost a daily basis, with the local Yash Raj distributor here.

It would be nice if 'Bollywood Blu-Ray' were not to make misleading & premature statements, on this forum and on their website, regarding release dates of BDs. The least they could do is, clearly mark such posts as rumours, instead of presenting them as facts. Although, this should not be surprising at all. After all, this is not first time this has happened. In fact, they already have 'My Name Is Khan' listed for release with a fake BD cover, just like so many other Indian movie titles that they have had listed for release on BD for the last 2 yrs and which have yet to see the light of day.

Well, I wouldn't totally blame this on them... it does definitely go towards the companies for not getting their own priorities straight. We've had this discussion before about how irresponsible their dates are.

Another part of ii goes to the people who post here always asking about the release dates. They have to tell us SOMETHING, so they ask the companies and just spread along the word as they hear it.

But I will admit that MNIK thing throws me for a loop.

It's not just a matter of them passing on unreliable information from the BD companies, they themselves continuosly and regularly disseminate false information. If you read their statement, they are claiming to have the 'Rocket Singh' BD in stock, since the 4th of February. Now that statement has nothing to do with the Video distributors and is an entirely independent statement.
The other thing I just don't understand is their steadfast stubborness to continue to have incorrect details of various BDs on their website. Inspite of having been informed and educated repeatedly about various technical terms, their site still continues the use of incorrect terminology. Why can't they get a simple thing such as the 'media' correct? They still insist on stating that the Blu-ray is on DVD media. They might as well call it a CD, for that was the first format that used the similiar looking disc.

Okay, I agree. The website does need work and so does the communication. I did check the website and it's impossible to know the technical specifications for a Blu-Ray release of My Name Is Khan when the movie only debuted in theaters 3 days ago. And also, because of the success of it already and the projected estimates, it will probably stay in theaters for a while before any home video release gets underway. And the same goes for other titles on the website as well. I think it needs a revamp badly and an information cleanout.

But the last person who brought this up here ended up getting banned, so I'd suggest taking this over to them privately with the hopes they listen. And to any Blu-Ray.com moderators... this is not a fight. We're merely concerned customers.

A ban for this reason is totally uncalled for and unfair, specially considering that they are actively promoting their website in this forum and also the incorrect information is being disseminated here. Thus, criticsm and or suggestions related to their activities on this forum, is just natural to be posted here. As stated by you "this is not a fight", but just some constructive and well justified criticism. Hopefully they will take note of this and will do what needs to be done. Enough said.

Your website says you have this BD in stock and ready to ship. Could you confirm? I don't see any mention of this BD release anywhere.
