The list is pretty good imo. I think, in terms of real game changers, that they only left out two films:
Tron - ryan is right. Almost every movie with cg effects today can trace its roots back to this film. Jason and the Argonauts - Actually I'm not sure if this was the first one, but even in today's digital world, motion capture is a pretty common type of effect and you can trace it back to those fighting skeletons. |
