Update:

I think I figured out the problem. Along with my receiver cutting off, I suddenly noticed that my center speaker was mixed really low in my surround sound. First thing I did was go into my settings and crank the center speaker level up. Well when I did that, the receiver REALLY started cutting off. I mean every 3 seconds! I finally took a look at my center speaker and turns out, the negative and positive wires were touching. I unhooked the wires, split them further apart, re-attached them and voila!! My center speaker sounds great again and so far my receiver has not cut off on me anymore! I hope this was solution!
