I cancelled my order with Amazon because, as of Sunday, they hadn't shipped it yet. ( I preordered it as soon as it was available to preorder) Even when I do preorder they typically don't ship until the day it is released, I usually get them Saturday after they are released. Anyway, I wanted to buy it at Target because I have a Target gift card so doing it this way would cost me nothing. And believe it or not, most people do not buy online.
i often run the risk of the big box stores running out of the titles before i can get 'em... thus i have to wait for the next shipment else go buy it at an overpriced mall shop ($40 for a bluray? give me a break). the Prime membership is a premium, but i'm practically guarenteed 2nd day shipping, but with my close proximity to the shipping source, i get it on release day. I'm willing to pay a little extra for guarneteed delivery (and i spend enough on Amazon that it'll actually pay for it self in the long run). yes, i know people who still refuse to buy online... but to each their own.

I find it funny that I have to have the movie on the day that it is out. But then it takes me two weeks to actually get around to watching it. I need help with this addiction.

Yeah, you buy it for that perfect time which usually isn't a Monday night...

This is something interesting I noticed this morning when I stopped at Target. I went to check out the Blu-Ray section. The 300 BD is still priced at $24.99. They didn't raise the price to $29.99 like so many of their other discs. They did, however, raise the price of the HD DVD to $34.99. It would be nice if they kept the pricing of all their discs that way!

TArget and superwalmart seem to be getting better in my area (south Florida) with their movie stock, pricing, and are now carrying the Sony S300 player. If they keep the prices down, everyone else will be forced to follow. I think Walmart will make a difference.
