Anyone think Forgotten Sands was better than the one from 08'?
Forgotten Sands has better platforming but the 08 game has better story, combat, and design.

I'm really liking this game... the platforming parts are really fun and a lot more challenging. I'm only halfway through, but it's already intense... can't wait to see how the game finishes.
I don't really care about story... usually don't pay attention to what's going on anyway.

Umm... not sure what the Twin one is, so can't comment. But judging by your other Platinums you have (in your sig) I would say you would definitely enjoy this game, and indeed get another Platinum in no time with it

Sorry the game is Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones and it was for PS2 and the Wii. That is the only one I played but I liked it, being able to run along walls, reverse time, stealth kill people, stuff like that.

Ah, I played one Prince on PS2, but only a level or two... hated the music, so couldn't get into it. It was all heavy metal and crap. So gave up on it.

In this one though there's no real stealth... all the baddies appear just to attack you so you can't sneak up on them... but there is time reversal, wall running.. and a host of other cool features. Jumping into enemies, freezing water... it's pretty cool. I played the first PoP on PS3.. (the cartoony one) and loved that.. got the platinum, so I figured I'd try this one and it's a lot of fun.

No problem. The further I get in this game now (still haven't beaten it), the more fun I'm having with it. The Platforming is really intense! You really have to have good hand-eye coordination and quick fingers to play!

But hope I don't make it sound difficult... you will get hurt in this game, and certain parts will take several tries until you figure it out, but it'll be worth it. Definite pick up for platforming fans.

Ok, I know it seems like I'm talking to myself in here, but maybe somebody reads these. lol

Just got to the final battle, but geeeeeze getting here was friggin' tough! The whole jumping from waterfall, through waterfall, to waterfall part was hard! Took me several tries, and a few fist-to-ottoman gestures, but I got it!

Now just to get the Untouchable and Invincible trophies....

Sweet I'm in Afghan now I'll pick it up when I get back...I love to platinum games as long as they're fun and not too ridiculous.

Don't worry. I've been reading.

I really liked the Sands of Time series (although I played on GC instead of PS2), but I hated the last one, which ran on the craptastic Assassin's Creed engine.

I'm starting to get interested in this one, though.

Go for it... it's short and won't take experienced or skilled players long to platinum, so a weeks (or even a 3 day) rental will suffice for some.

I on the other hand have to own these games, because I suck, so it takes me a while to achieve anything....

I played this game today. It's a heaping pile of Crap. It's not at as good as the Sand of Time Series, but is much better than the Last one they put out... Let's not even talk about the New Gen Prince of Persia.

I honestly think Ubisoft have managed to kill this once great franchise. The last one was pretty awful, and I heard this one isn't too great either. I may rent it later when it becomes more plentiful, but for now I think it's pretty awful.

I think they can solve half their problems by changing to a new engine (instead of modding that piece of crap Ass Crease engine), where button presses and timing actually matter. I hated how in the last PoP game, you pretty much just hit buttons whenever you felt like it to effortlessly traverse the bland terrain.

I think they can solve the other half of their problems by entirely dropping the retarded combat from these games. Sands of Time had it right, with battles few and far between, but then Warrior Within ruined it by "improving" the combat and focusing on it. I thought Two Thrones alleviated it pretty well by giving you the option to avoid fighting via stealth kills (the combat was so boring, I would actually use my Rewind ability if I flubbed a stealth kill, just so I could avoid the tedium).

Just beat the game on the weekend after having a few days break from it. Really enjoyed the game, was hoping for more platforming, didn't want it to end!
Getting the Untouchable and Invincible trophies will be a little difficult, I will try a few times, but if unsucessful I won't worry myself over not scoring the plat.

I have to agree though, the attacks and timing with the buttons is slow. You notice it particularly during the boss fights, when you have to attack and then quickly get out of the way, if you hit the attack button too quickly the Prince will stay where he is and finish executing the moves before evading to avoid being hit...
