Oh yeah no problem, I've actually been following any John Carter news since they announced Taylor Kitsch as the star last summer. I kept reading about how they where trying to work around his John Carter schedule while he's still on Friday Night Lights. I read recently that this movie isn't expected out until like 2012 or 2013 so it's going to be a HUGE film. I was just very surprised that based on his work as Gambit and Tim Riggins they decided to go with such a relative unknown actor in the bigger markets. But that must be the appeal. Unless of course you count his mile high club scene from Snakes on a Plane, than he is well known lol.

Just found this atLatinoReview

The John Carter books were fantastic reads when I was growing up and it's really cool that Andrew Stanton is going to be bringing his vision of John Carter to life.

The film just started production and IESB caught up with actor Bryan Cranston on his role in the film and his future projects Red Tails, Love Ranch and more.

Here's a bit from IESB:

IESB: What was the appeal of John Carter of Mars?

Bryan:
With John Carter of Mars, I was taken in by the story and the enthusiasm of the director, Andrew [Stanton], and what he was looking to do. It's a fantastic story that Edgar Rice Burroughs wrote. I think he started writing it in 1913.

IESB: Who do you play in it?

Bryan:
I play the Colonel who John Carter (Friday Night Lights star Taylor Kitsch) is with, at the time he finds the portal to Mars. It's going to be exciting.

IESB: What will your look be for the film?

Bryan:
I'm going to be wearing a wig. We haven't talked about what he is seeing, as far as this character. But, I got fitted for a wig and I don't know what the facial hair situation will be. We'll see.

IESB: When do you start working on that?

Bryan:
A week after we're done with Breaking Bad. I have no break, but I like it that way. It's good.
