it has alot of potential and in order to buy the viewers they would need
the right cast. the right script. the right plot. and the right scenes..
I agree a sort of updated version of Bruce Lee's Game of Death would fit Mortal Kombat's style. I don't want to see the movie full of fatalities or babalities(sp?) but I want something made for the 18+ crowd the game was meant for not some toned down film made for 12 to 16 year olds.

we wont get anywhere if its made for the ages 12 to 16 range.. which all kids played MK and said OMG the blood, and gore. and Spine Ripping is so badass..

we might as well stay at home and play Classic MK Arcade. on Xbox Live or something..

but in order to present the Reboot and done correctly..

we want a Film based on Fighting, Moral Values. a Team Based. kind of emotional whats at stake here!.
the Charecters. presented with alot of backstory. and
the script work more above the lines of

" I Will Kill You, And Take Your Soul "

we wont get anwhere with that..

Whats the story behind Lui Kang,
Whats The Story Behind Katana.
Whats The Story Behind Mortal Kombat Itself..
The Tournaments..

Who Are Sub Zero? and Scorpion..

And Exactly a Bruce less opposition would be great..

Great Story. Great Fighting. Great Film

easy as cake

Mortal Kombat 2 was like s**tty theater actors trying to act like they were big and bad when they came across as horrid.

I just thought I'd hop in here and point out that anyone who's regularly anti-reboots and remakes but pro in this case really does look kind of silly.

Personally I think any remake should be made if it gets the story right and opens it up for a new generation of fans.

Because let's face it, Mortal Kombat vs D.C.U. sucked. And Mortal Kombat needs all the help it can get.

I'm not against video game adaptations (especially those with great storylines -- MGS, Uncharted, Silent Hill, etc.), but I am against adaptations of fighting games. Does anyone really buy these games for the story?

No, we buy them for the awesome fatalities. But does anybody see Michael Bay films for the stories? Come on, don't even try to lie.

I loved it to, I think I was about 10 when it came out. And I was still reeling in the glory that was Lambert as Highlander on VHS and than he was Raiden

I never did too much role-playing. Had a friend who did though.

For some reason my mom never bought the movie so every time we went to a rental store it's all I'd want to rent. It annoyed her a lot.

I love the world and back story of the MK universe. I grew up on it.
