I love this. Small bd discs! More than DVD but less than the big guys. I don't need all that space, but I need more space than DVD. This is perfect! Plus writing all that data will be quicker too. Storage will be sweeter.

Gotta love technology! They should use these discs for the digital copies. Or for portable devices!!!!!

Only drawback is, you still need a BD drive to read them.
Until we start seeing portables with BD drives(aside from laptops), these are still a niche item.

I suppose that this kind of small Bluray discs will be used for future models of small video cameras

With all the layering they supposedly can do with BD I expect we should see a four layer 15 gb 3" disc in the future.

Say what you will about HD DVD, but I have plenty of Warner blu-rays based on 30GB HD DVD transfters. The 30 GB offerings were acceptable, not great, but acceptable. The Bi-Polar Express blu-ray, which was based on the 15 GB HD DVD is crap and I am upset I spent my money on it.

Hey, how could I enjoy a 25 GB BD and then complain about the quality of a dual layer 30GB HD DVD disc?

I heard they had a few issues on the video/optical front.

Yeah, video quality apparently wasn't good on the first generation camcorders. They just announced a new one though, so we'll see if they improved it.
