That Vandy array you have is very impressive indeed and I love inclusion of a turntable in the system (I have one too). You don't see many setups powered by Adcom around here either. All around wonderful audio gear

BTW......... When I'm ready to upgrade my speakers I may need you for some advice......
Thanks for the kind comments. The Adcom GFA 555 is old (circa 1986) and was a Nelson Pass design. I'm not so sure the Adcom of today is as good as it used to be.

Trivia question: What does the GFA stand for?

I remember the DQ-10's well. A friend of mine had them when I bought the 2C's and I liked them quite a bit.

I will be happy to talk to you about upgrading your speakers anytime. Of course, remember that all speakers are personal taste and listening is THE most important thing you can do. I listened to the Quatros for over 2 hours, and brought my own music (with which I am very familiar) to the dealer. I also listened to all of that same music on my own system 1st. It is an imperfect way to audition speakers (or any other gear) of course, because the dealer has different (often state of the art) gear than you normally would. But, you know you've made a good choice if your not thinking about upgrading or changing them within a year or two of buying them.

JMHO,
Paul
