i used to watch them when i was like 6 (yes gremlins too, and yes when he melted on the fountain at the end i'd cover my eyes)

"Gremlins" & "Goonies" were two favs of mine growing up.

What's a shame that when I saw these in the theater as a kid, everyone loved them. But when the current young generation watches them, they just think "ehhhh". Same thing with "E.T."...it basically did nothing when re-released a few years back.

I'm hoping that so many of the classics from the 80's will see the light of day.

Where's "Sixteen Candles" too!?

Fast Times is out now on HD DVD only. Shame too because they also have Dazed and Confused one of my all time favorite movies.

Hi

I got an email from Frys about their labor day sale. I cliked on the dvd section to see what blu-rays will be on sale, and they have The Goonies available for pre-order for $22.99 with cover art.

Now this has only been announced for a Japan release in October as far as I know. Could Goonies be released soon in the states or is this most likely an error? There is no release date on the Fry's website.

Best Buy has a lil leaflet in store of upcoming BD's.

It shows Goonies.

I know we all know Goonies is coming, but is there an official release date yet?

Goonies and Gremlins were announced for October in Japan, so a U.S. release will most likely be around that time.
