We all learn something every day and the only reason I knew that is becasue I have the RXFX and I read the book. I'm almost confused on the di-pole config, but I think I have it. I just have to set it up and listen. one day!!!

You notice the left and right markings on my RXFX speakers? Then it would depend on placement of right or left if using bi-pole and then different palcement if using all di-pole.

Wow, I hate you. That's the exact MA setup I want someday (with the RXFX to make it 7 channel). Looks killer man, I'm definitely envious

Btw you have a perfect wall for a projector. Ever thought of one?

I guess I could still return the sammy plasma ahaha, but on a serious note, living in the apartment its extremely temporary. My fiancee is in grad school, and as soon as she gets her masters, we have to head off to another state to get her PhD. Sooo, in all reality it is not smart for me to start hanging projectors and screens (they are extremely anal about security deposits and they have some odd ass paint that i would have to try really hard to match when i am filling holes.)

I will eventually get one, just not this year.

Everyone else made me jealous, thats why i got tired of it, sold my blood/5perm once a day for 6 months straight lol... I am totally happy so far.

Its funny, but i did read that. Just never heard them before. Are they worth the purchase, and what are the benefits. Other than reading about them being in/out of phase. (which i am unsure of also)

thanks again. Looking forward to expanding from 5.1 to 7.1 haha

It will be helpful to you to read A Guide to Bipolar, Dipolar, & Direct-Radiating Surround Speakers. The thread will help you understand the differences between bipole and dipole speakers and more importantly, there are diagrams in post #1 that will help you with placement of bipole or dipole surround speakers.

Default UPDATE: OPPO 80 + Harmony ONE

While I am waiting for my TV stand to come in still i decided to upgrade a few things..

1) Was already bored of having 6 remotes, I ordered the Harmony ONE the other day. Absolutely love it already. Well worth the cabbage I originally regretted throwing at it.

2) OPPO 80 bd player. Had an S360 series sony, and wanted to get an opp0 83 but decided for what i did with it, I only watched BD discs.

works for me

More nice upgrades. Congrats again. The Harmony One is an excellent piece of equipment to have.
