Scooby that's one kick arse sub you got, and one that I would be proud to own myself.

However, the lower end Velodyne the OP compared the eD A2 300 to just doesn't make the grade. Higher end Velodyne subs like yours do and will continue to rock on and on.

As for me, I am extremely pleased with my humble dual PA 120s. Mine rock on and on and on too! They produce that good ole clean, smooth, tight bass sound better than anything I've owned so far. No, they don't go as low as the eD subs. I have owned subs that did though. But those just didn't have the quality bass sound that I'm getting from my PA 120s. I can't imagine getting any thing better unless I pay a lot more for a sub like you did for the Optimum 12.

Velodyne subs are great, but yours has an MSRP of $1800, dont know what it can be bought for on the street, but I think that your subs list price is out of the average persons market.

Thanks everyone! I'm really excited about my new sub. After I told my co-worker that I ordered a new one she sighed and told me that I could have it for $50 if I came to pick it up and take it away. I told her that I wasn't saying that to try and leverage a lower price, it was just the truth LOL. Well, I figured for 50 bucks I would pick it up and when my A2-300 arrived I would give it to my younger brother, maybe .

I'm no audiophile but the difference between the Velodyne and the Sony is considerable to say the least. In listening to the Sony I always thought that's what bass was supposed sound like. Boy, was I wrong. If anyone is considering upgrading from a "cheap" subwoofer like my Sony, I encourage you to make the jump. It has improved my listening experience immensely. Even my wife was impressed, which in itself says a lot! The only problem now is the long wait for the A2-300 to arrive.

This shouldn't be a revelation, but Sony speaker products kinda suck.... I cant believe I used to think they were decent

For me, it's that I had never heard anything else so I had nothing to compare it to.

Also, I re-read my post and to clarify, I meant that I would give my brother the Velodyne... not the A2-300.
