To each their own. I have one of each except a Wii, and for all different reasons. Everyone I know has an Xbox, so gaming with friends and family can't get any easier. Also the exclusive titles are some of the best I have played to date (Halo, Gears of War, Mass Effect). Finally I know that some of these titles made their way to PC, but another reason I play Xbox is for the achievements (and avatar awards!)

i would probably look into getting one myself, but i just dont have enough free time to try and split between two consoles, and i also really dont want to have to worry about any hardware problems, not bashing, im just saying that kind of thing really pushes me away from making a purchase like that, i seriously stood staring at the ps3 for about a half hour trying to talk myself into actually spending the money on it, couldnt be happier with that purchase, but i think the chance of having to deal with any problems with the xbox would probably keep me from talking myself into it if i was standing there looking at the 360 in the same situation, its a great platform and their exclusives like mass effect and left for dead and the like look really awesome, i play if im hanging out with friends that have the 360, but other than that, i dont think i would actually buy one just to be able to play the exclusives, if got too many games on PS3 to play

You know I'm going to agree with this

But yes, there's definitely some great choices in terms of exclusives, as others have already mentioned. And yes, I do like the controller better as well.

Well, I wouldn't go that far, but both sides have their perks of course. I like both controllers.

Remember that huge boomerang controller concept that they thought up for the PS3. Man, that was wild.

I don't have an XBOX nor have I ever played the games, but I always wanted to play Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2. I'm sure there's some others but I never looked around.

I don't mean to gloat, but they are two awesome games. Last year my roommate and I played a ton of L4D, NHL '09, and GTA. All three are fun games you can jump right into for an hour or two.

That's because there is a whole slew of programmers out there that are lazy bastards who can't be bothered to code the PS3 properly, and so we end up with lower quality multi-platform titles. GTA 4, Ghostbusters and a whole load more are visually more impressive (almost always a resolution/texture issue) on the 360 than PS3. Head over to LensOfTruth.com and check out the Head2Head feature to see what i mean. So many multi-format developers should know better, so i vote with my wallet and buy the games a considerable time afterward from CEX.

If you want to have the best console on the planet....Then you gotta have the 360
I don't play videogames much anymore, but i still like to play certain fast paced games offline when i feel like it.
Therefore i am very happy with my 360!
And most games simply look the best on it.
I sold my ps3 because i wasn't satisfied with the blu ray player(i prefer my Sony BDP5000ES) and none of the games caught my interest.
For me the Playstation3 wasn't worth it,was the worst investment for home entertainment i made in years(cost me 400euro,Killzone2 Bundle),i'm really glad i got rid of it.

Yeah they were the main reason why I ever wanted to get an XBOX, but at same time I'd like to save my money. I already have a PS3 and tons of games. Plus I use it as a DVD/Blu ray player.

I'd probably only buy the 360 exclusives anyway

+1000! I would never, ever have time for it even though its cheap and sometimes tempting! I can enjoy gaming on the 360 but personally I find the PS3 to have better controllers (probably alone on this), better looks, more features and all my friends have one!

I would like to try Mass Effect and Left 4 Dead but would never be worth it for me

This is why I've yet to purchase a PS3. I would only buy it for a few exclusives and I have plenty of games to play for the 360.

Not at all. Most ppl I know IRL prefer Dual shocks to MS controllers.

In the bigger picture its fairly split. A poll conducted here showed fairly split results too.

Reasons to buy a 360:

Xbox Live - Of course, Xbox Live is one of the most reliable console online provider, and is also one of the most popular. Besides, the Xbox experience isn't complete without XBL

Exclusives other than Halo (Gears Of War, Mass Effect 1 & 2, Fable 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Forza Motorsport 3) - Sony and Nintendo have their own line up of exclusives, but if you like a little bit of more variety in your video game library, I suggest snagging these titles in your local retailer or in Marketplace

Price - It's relatively cheap. Only the Arcade is $199, but I highly suggest getting the Elite for $299. It's a lot more worth it than getting the Arcade.

I have both, but I definitely use my PS3 a lot more I don't have a bias towards either though. They both give me what I want out of it. Both sides have great games and exclusives and Bluray is heavenly.

having both, i prefer the 360 controller. i like the ps3 interface better. the cost of replacing the hdd is better on the ps3. like the fact that you can load and play any game off of the hdd of the 360. like my backwards compatibility of my 60gig. backwards compatibility on the 360 is pretty much non-existant. like the fact that the 360 can scale all games. both have there lines of great exclusives. shadow complex on LIVE is a must have. classic perfect dark is coming in two weeks!!!

The only drawback to the 360 imo is that technically, there are no exclusive titles for the 360, as most of their 1st party releases are/will be out for PC.

Personally, I prefer the PS controller, as the X-Box & 360 controllers remind me of smaller Dreamcast controllers (which I'm not a big fan of).
