Same thread, but screenshots of the UK version, which, IMO, looks better than the HD-DVD and US Blu-ray.

Looks awe-fully close to being the same to the HD-DVD to me, but this looks like a clear winner as well.

UK version or the AOD HD-DVD is the only way IMO.

As much as I love this movie, I just can't see owning it on BD. It's not an "awesome" movie like a Hellboy 2 or Happy Feet.

I don't know, it's just too campy for me. Again, I love the movie too. I love the whole series.

They also take VAT off the list price though so that drops it to £5.95 + shipping. Their shipping also drops significantly with multiple titles so if you can add another Blu the deal gets better.

Yep, I know. Very nice with the VAT deduction. I guess I would have saved a few buck by taking this from Amazon...

But £7.99 is still a great price for this amazing movie.

Thanks. After reading some reviews, the US Army of Darkness on Blu-ray is still a good jump up in quality over the DVD.And since I somehow don't own this on DVD, I'm definitely going to pick it up the next time I see it on sale. I already have Evil Dead 2, and I'm looking for Evil Dead 1...kind of surprised there isn't a trilogy bundle, but then again, different publishers/rights holders?
