Everyone's bound to be different, but I just couldn't get into it on repeat viewings. I'll give it another go sonner or latter.

I found the Sixth Sense interesting the 2nd time, just because you could spot all the clues. It seems alot of the movies with a 'twist' don't hold up the second time for obvious reasons.

There are also numerous comedies that I thought were hilarious the 1st time and not nearly as funny the next viewing. Superbad, Dodgeball, American Pie come to mind off the top of my head.

The Hangover and Paranormal Activity. I thought the Hangover was hilarious when I saw it in theaters, but I didn't have that same love for it the second time I watched it. The jokes didn't seem funny anymore. Paranormal Activity for obvious reasons. Once you know what is going to happen, it just isn't scary.

My thoughts exactly.

I saw it in the theatre and was blown away by the experience. On every viewing after that, I just see how superficial the characters are, and what a silly plot it has.

generally, i'd say any crime/detective/thriller film. once you know the guilty party, any suspense from the first viewing is completely nonexistant.

i'd say state of play only works after one viewing.

The Crying Game. You lose the game if you watch it more than once.

I think Running Scared is a good example of this, awesome one time movie, it gets bad after the second viewing, not sure why though.

The simple generic answer for me is any movie where plot overshadows character, where finding out what happens is so much more interesting than what the characters are feeling. If a film gets character right, why on earth would I only want to watch it once?

Yeah but would you really need to watch it since you already know how its gonna end?

The Usual Suspects for me but still a great movie.

How do you shoot the devil in the back? What if you miss?

Napoleon Dynamite - I freakin' hate this movie now.
Independence Day - I own it, but it diminishes after each viewing.
StarGate
The Patriot - Yeah, Roland Emmerich just doesn't do it for me...
The Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
Batman Forever
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen - I ashamed to say that I liked it the first time around, I actually argued the point with some friends, then these friends had me watch the film again... I don't know what the hell I was thinking.
Rocky Balboa
Anaconda
Lost in Space
The Lost World: Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park ///
