What are your favorite Special Features?

Special features vary greatly between movies; in general, the blooper scenes are usually entertaining.

As far as in-depth special features, the Lord of the Rings EE's set the bar for those, and they remain my favorites.

In order of favorites:

1.) Short films, alternate cuts, bonus films, cartoons, etc.
2.) Gag reels, outtakes, bloopers, funny bits, etc.
3.) Deleted scenes, alternate scenes, extended scenes, alternate cuts, stock footage, etc.
4.) Documentaries and featurettes concerning subject matter for films rooted in real life (like a History Channel documentary, or interviews with experts or real people, biographies, etc).
5.) Making-of documentaries and featurettes (especially if they're really good and interesting).
6.) Music videos, footage that's continuous (like the oozing stuff on "The Fountain" disc).
7.) Previsualization scenes, uncompleted special effects, VFX montages, etc.
8.) Preproduction art galleries
9.) Interactive stuff, like DVD-ROM games, downloadable content, scripts, storyboards, BD-Live (which I haven't bothered using yet), weblinks (never used either), etc.
10.) Commentaries (played only two, should really listen to more)
11.) Storyboards (meh...)
12.) Photo galleries (meh...)
13.) Notes, filmographies, etc (meh...)

That's all I can think of.

I find commentaries to be the most enjoyable. but only when they are actually good. And it's ironic because sometimes good movies have bad comms and vice versa. Like Blair Witch 2... terrible movie but great commentary because the director is honest and rips on the movie studio for wrecking the sequencing of his movie... and then leaving his name on it. i love finding out details like that.
