It sure does. Maybe another of those 'there is so much grain the transfer must be bad' statements.

Same goes for Sleepy Hollow. It is supposed to look grainy...

House of Flying Daggers and Kiss of the Dragon were awful. I also thought the Italian Job was a pretty poor transfer as well.

The worst BD movie period was Robocop. It was so bad that it was pulled. Too bad would have bought it. The Italian Job looks really good on my setup. I'd recommend it.

Default I have a few to add

I don't have Robo Cop so I can not compare.

But out of the ones I do have.. these I would consider BAD and deserving of a Remaster version.

(300) both versions included the film grain
A lot of people say they like it because less DNR is better.
Well i disagree. On my 65 LG LED and 65 Samsung DLP and 70 Sony LCD
This film looks like its snowing in the desert. I hate it.

Terminator 1 : The DVD looks better upscaled

Young Guns : Come on already this was a DVD to BD port. And hurry up with Young Guns 2 : Sell a combo pack Remastered in 7.1

Close Encounters 3rd Kind Anv. Edition Salt n Pepper with your Movie ?

STAR TREK Original Motion Picture movies except for Wrath of Kahn
Felt like only the 2nd movie got any attention the rest were just ports.

Robin Hood Prince of Thieves Extended Cut : DVD port to Blu

Total Recall : and it should be. SHAME ON You Lions Gate !!!!
REMASTER this one please!!!

Tomb Raider : Come On.. I wanted to see Angelina in HD whats this crap ?

The Top Honors of WORST on Blu Ray ...... drum roll ..........

PREDATOR : Ultimate Hunter Edition. Funny this was supposed to be the Remastered Version the fans wanted. It's worse than the 1st release.
Horrible. Horrible. I want my money back.

Terminator I don't agree with you, neither do I with Star Trek. I think the Star Trek OMP looks pretty decent tbf.

Total Recall - I have the UK version which is fine, maybe it's a different transfer

As for Predator - It was just a strange experience watching that

However - My Optimum Release copy of Escape From New York (from UK) makes Baby Jesus cry

If i'm not mistaken, the Predator Ultimate hunter edition suffers from heavy DNR, hence the horrible transfer. Yet you dislike 300 because it's grain...

If anything, I felt the initial 2008 release of "Predator" was superior. Still pretty gaudy (likely worthy of being listed in this thread), but at least it was sharp. I'd take it over the Ultimate Hunter Edition any day.

It is, and it is miles better than the US release.

Now that a remake is around the corner, maybe they'll remaster/re-release it.

Did you see 300 in theaters? I saw it three times.
It looked like that in theaters, because the director wanted it to look grainy.

300 looks terrific. That is the purpose of blu-ray: to the best of its ability, replicate how a film is shot/intended to look.

I actually just bought Close Encounters tonight and flipped through it. Another example of what I just said. It was shot on 70s film stock so there is going to be a decent amount of grain native to the picture. Looks great!

Apparently you didn't even watch Star Trek: The Motion Picture. That has the best transfer out of all of the films in that set! It looks like it was filmed yesterday.

So you hate the way Predator and 300 looks: You hate the grain of 300 but also the lack of it in Predator? Are you bi-polar or something?

Nothing's wrong with Close Encounters. That dude just did a good job of stirring up the pot like he was clearly trying to do.
