Default Paramount Blu-ray releases... PLEASE ADD!

Even though Paramount has put Blu-Ray on the back burner, (I know it will only be temporary) lets make a list of the good Paramount releases so that EVERYONE on blu-ray.com will know what to buy to change Paramount's minds.

My first choice is Top Gun! When this is released, EVERYONE go out and buy it! Any others? Please add!

1. TOP GUN

Cool

Dude, from my understanding Paramount has pulled all future releases for blu-ray, and the company banked $150 million in the deal. I don't think temporary is what they have in mind.

Hate to see Blades of Glory go

Yes, they have cancelled all plans for any titles that had been announced. So you won't be seeing Top Gun anytime soon.

Personally I just wonder what's going to happen with existing titles. I know existing titles can still be purchased; but will they continue to burn Blu Ray discs once their inventory of BDs has been depleted?

For instance .. Sahara. What will happen when all their Sahara copies have been sold out?

Be careful though. You don't want to reward Paramount for misbehaving. Betray bluray and watch paramount bluray sales suddenly spike up? Do a bad thing and then see good things happen. The next time they want to see sales increases or feel loved, they'd just try this little trick again. And if Fox sees paramounts bluray sales spike all of a sudden because of a betrayal, who knows. Maybe one day when sales are down, Fox might want to pull a paramount to see if it'll work for them too. You can try it, but I wouldn't encourage bad behavior if doing so would encourage them to misbehave. Fox and Disney might take notice and start to salivate at the benefits of defection. Just a caution from one way of looking at this "carrot versus the stick" technique.

Because I was very eager to watch Transformers on Bluray, I'm very bitter that Paramount did this. I'm so bitter that I refuse to watch it in DVD, even though I know that I want to. But originally, I came into bluray for Spiderman and the Disney movies. And I'm pleasantly surprised to see that Harry Potter and the Polar Express are on their way. I don't keep track of which studios create which movie and wasn't sure if the Polar Express was a universal title or what :-/
