If you're a big fan of Halloween, like me, it's definitely worth a purchase as a collectors item and I think the rarity will go up once they release a regular set

Yeah, you are right. Do you think amazon's price is good or should I wait for it to drop a bit more?

I think you should hunt around and see if you can find a better price. But that's just me. It's all up to you. But if you want to buy it at that price, more power to you.

I love all the movies. Huge fan of Myers. I still need to get the blu-ray of the orig. I have the two rob zombie movies. I saw this set a while back but never did pick it up. They need one big box set on blu-ray to come out.

Thanks for the pics Al but I wonder why aren't all the movies included I mean what about 2 and 3? Why does the Blu-ray not feature the extended too? So many questions

No problem Q! You are right. So many questions that are unanswered. I just hope one day we will see this set and more, on Blu-ray.

Thanks for the pics. Just curious, the case they're in, is it just a blank case, or is there any artwork?

Universal has the rights to Halloween II and Halloween 3: Season of the Witch. Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers, Halloween H20: 20 Years Later, and Halloween: Resurrection are owned by Disney/Dimension.

Unfortunately with three distributors in this film series, it would be difficult or even impossible to come up with a licensing contract that would ensure all parties are treated equally.

As for the extended cut... the theatrical cut got a new HD transfer so Anchor Bay was more than likely either too cheap or too lazy to create a new HD transfer for the extended cut.

Thanks for all that info. I guess we will not see an ultimate edition in the near future then

Yes, I figured it was a "rights circus"
And thanks.

Wow thank you for all your pics! Now i REALLY wanna get that. lol. Especially it seems like it wouldn't be likley for there to be a complete box set, either way, this is a wonderful collector's item! Do you remember how much you paid for yours? Amazon's price seems fair, and you can't find this ANYTHERE in the stores around me, so i don't see where else i would buy it.

Joey

No problem Joey! You seem very interested in this set. So I decided to take some pics.

I paid $60. I keep a record of what I buy on dvd and blu-ray and didn't realize how much I paid for it. So Amazon would be the best route. Stores in my area don't have it either.
