Kalifornia is a movie i still havent seen but ive always been curious about. possibly if the price is right ill go for the blind buy.

I'm in for all four! I probably won't pick them all up on August 3rd, as I'm more of a bargain shopper, but all four are good films.

These are MGM/Fox titles. So far only Universal uses flipper discs. These will be 2 disc (1 BD + 1 DVD) though it's anyone's guess as to whether all the extras will make it to the BD disc--for whatever reason they sometimes do not.

Wil get EFNY, love that movie.

Never seeen Blood Simple; heard good things. I love Miller's Crossing (1 of my all time favorite movies) and Fargo. Really like most of the rest, so I will be getting it.

I definitely didn't expect to hear about Blood Simple coming to blu any time soon, but I'll be first in line. Not really, since it's gonna be amazon all the way. If this were from another major studio I'd be worried about DNR and a wimpy bit rate, but I'm thinking Fox will treat this like they did To Live and Die in L.A...

The UK release looks like an upconverted DVD, so it shouldn't be difficult.

I'm betting 50/50 chances that the HDTV version will look better. it's already the case with the european disc. Of course I would be happy to be proven wrong, and that this new edition is fully remastered.
