I didn't like the clunky controls, carrying only one gun at a time, and a short campaign.

I would like to be able to play the first Killzone, but I have a slim, but Sony should consider an HD remix.
- Lack of co op campaign and modes
- Lack of split screen for multiplayer
- Lack of dedicated servers, matchmaking and party system
- GG constantly changing the controls really broke the community
- 32 players on small maps such as Radec should never be allowed
- Some maps were very vulnerable to spawn camping
- Enemies putting up a spawn point at your base should never be allowed or it should be very very difficult
- Inability to get a secondary weapon
- Lots of dudebro dialog and Rico
- Inability to go to a prone position
- No toggle button for crouching (this was fixed eventually)
- No customizeable button mapping configuration like there was in Killzone 1

That's it off the top of my head

Personally I am looking forward to Killzone 3. I played it a few weeks ago and it was awesome, early and unfinished but still awesome. You criticised it for clunky controls which is down to the input lag and that's been fixed. The SP campaign is longer and there are more multi-player options.

I can't go into tech details until after E3, but rest assured it is now the most technically up to date game in the world, it uses more distributed code and more SPU post-processing than any other game which has allowed them to do a 3D mode without making many sacrifices to quality while making the 2D mode more fancy with higher fps.
I know its somewhat off topic, but given the success of the God of War Collection (Im assuming it was successful) can we expect more HD remakes of PS2 games? They seem like they would be relatively cheap to make and could easily provide additional revenue. Ratchet and Clank games seem like easy choices for HD remakes and probably wouldn't look all that different from the current gen games. The Grand Theft Auto games are also good choices.

Maybe for some, but I wouldn't expect Killzone 1 to be honest with you.

I like killzone but i can't wait for R3. I know insomniac listened to the complaints of R2 and should address them. And please bring back the girl who told the story troughout the game in part 1, she was perfect.

I wonder if it's coming this year? Usually we'd hear something by now. I guess a big blowout at E3.

Im just not sure how they could bring back the girl narrator without it seeming a little forced on. I'm just not sure that with the direction they took in the series with R2 that they can bring her back in a way that seems natural. The first one was more or less a WW2 shooter with aliens in which the sci-fi was certainly present, but the game had more of a call of duty ww2 feel in which the narrator made more sense.

While for the 2nd one, the sci-fi factor was brought front and center and the WW2 shooter element was more or less removed.

While I love both games, Im a little torn as to which game I like better due to changes the 2nd one made taking away a lot of what was loved about the first one, while at the same time creating a lot of new things to love.

Resistance has the coolest weapons. Buzz saw gun. Bulls Eye. I love everything that Insoomniac makes.

KZ3, but I'll pick up R3 too. The fact that I traded in R2 without completing it but am still enjoying KZ2 says it all.

Nothing wrong with the Resistance world, I loved the website marketing that they used in the run up to the games release, but it didn't have the atmosphere that the first one had, it was too clinical somehow.

Anyway, looking forward to both, but KZ3 moreso

Really hard for me to choose, honestly. I loved both Killzone 2 and Resistance 2.

Both are day 1 purchases for me, shoot probably pre-orders, but I'm leaning toward KZ3. Killzone 2 is my 3rd favorite game ever (just behind both Uncharted games).

I actually preferred the sci-fi treatment to R2 over R1. I loved the more colorful pallet.

No question, Killzone 3. Resistance 2 was good, but multiplayer kinda stunk IMO. Killzone 2's multiplayer was awesome.

Now for FPS's in general I'd take these two well above many others like Call of Duty or Bad Company (which IMO is stillquite a bit better than COD games).

Will definitely be getting both, but if I had to put one before the other it would be KZ3. Would like more of the co-op mode in R3 though, enjoyed that a lot in R2. A bigger variety of missions would be good.

Resistance 3 just needs to get announced so the cat can get let out of the bag.
