I have to agree, I've seen a few 12A (PG-13 for the UK) movies with young kids in and they get scared. But as I'm a Teen, I've had my share of annoyances with my Friends, for example I went watching Kick-Ass for the 2nd time and someone had invited my arch nemisis and his annoying friend with him, and they both kept hitting each other and for some reason had custard and throwing it around with mini-donughts. And I'd rather have the ****ing babies there instead.

I'd rather buy a BD blind for some movies and take the gamble... one's doing the same thing by going to the theater 'blind', spending more, and then being disappointed. However, I still go to the theater to see a select few that I don't want to wait for.
I do the same, altho as i like to watch the movies on original version i usually watch them alone in my house or with some friends who love to see o.v. aswell, the last time i saw a movie in theathers was Avatar because i wanted to see the 3D, and the one before was Tropic Thunder...

The cinemas who display O.V. in Madrid ain't good enough, and it seems too many people that go to these cinemas tend to applause on certain scenes and stuff like that which literally takes me out of the cinema.

Also as many have pointed out... i prefer to gamble on a blu blind buy than going to a cinema which cost 9€ per ticket, 10€ x 2 cokes and 1 middle pop corn... that makes 28€ for my fiance and me... then the image is worst, the sound it's too loud (not better, just too high) etc.

I have seen many a film in the theater that I loved. But when they came to video I could see how absolutely awful they were. The big screen/big sound lies.

It's like going to bed with Megan Fox, then you sober up in the morning and you realize it was Andy Dick!

I have only been in the business for 2 weeks and before that I followed my own advice. The high ticket prices and crowds and cell phones and loud people I fixed with this one trick.

My local theater (and I am sure others around) has a great matinee price. I only go on Monday mornings. No crowds, I pick my seat. If by chance I get a talker (as a customer) I ask them to be quiet. Many people are afraid to tell people to shut up. Not me!! No need for popcorn for me. But when I do it costs me..
4.00 for the 10am showing
4.00 for a small popcorn
4.00 for a small soda

12 bucks for a good movie in a nice theater is priceless (well really 12 dollars)

The trick here is to live in an area with quality theaters!!
And if there are not too many people in the house, ask them to turn it up.

I repeat, DO NOT PATRONIZE sub par movie houses unless you have no choice.

I only go to theater to watch a movie if I'm really looking froward to it. But thats sson gonna stop cuz my theater for some reason don't believe in bass in there movies. Iron Man 2 for instance sucked for me cuz there was almost no bass. Bass is a big part of it for me. My theater place sucks for it. I knw I'll get more from it when i get the Blu.

My LazyBoy, HT, my beer, smokes and remote to pause the movie at anytime will keep me home to watch movies everytime. It's not so much the crowds that bother me but the people in the crowds... (heard that in a movie, can't remember which)

The problem is NO ONE is considerate anymore, at least at ALL the movie theaters in a 10-20 mile radius from my house.

No point in listing my gripes since they are probably the same as everyone else but here is what has to me the single worst:

I saw Live Free or Die Hard in the theater and everytime there was an explosion (there were a lot of them!) in the the movie this one guy did a Ric Flair "whoo!" at the top of his lungs.

For those of you that are unaware of Ric Flair here ya go: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzEd8...eature=related
