Given that the current president of Warner is a religious whackjob, you definitely are asking for too much. He's the reason The Devils is getting such crappy treatment from the studio

Did anybody happen to visit Target today to see if they are stocking it? They seem to only get certain of these double feature titles, I'm hoping this is one.

I didn't see it anywhere. Target has none of the Warner double features released today. Walmart has some but not these titles.

A review: http://www.dvdtown.com/review/practi...k/blu-ray/8220

It gets worse! The reviewer has called TWOE a "companion" feature. **** me, they'll be calling it a bonus feature next

All very sad

so on this release it looks like both films are on one disc.
hope that doesn't become a trend with Warner and these double feature releases.

Just off the subject, that's par for the course for Eastern European movie-artwork misinterpretation:
http://www.cracked.com/article_16990...osters_p1.html

Communist-era Poland seemed to be....particularly....."good" at it.

wow, those are amazing also.
I'm a big movie poster lover, and have bought a bunch of cool books of various decades.
It's such a shame that all the ones I'm interested in owning cost thousands of dollars.
old movie posters might actually be the coolest thing ever imo.

The only Warner double feature releases that have two discs are the Eastwood titles. All of the non-Eastwood films are all on one BD-50 with each film taking up a layer.

Don't pay any attention to reviews at DVD Town. They may (emphasis on MAY) be helpful in assessing a Blu-ray's PQ and AQ, but their reviewers know nothing (emphasis on NOTHING) about the qualities of the movie itself. If I didin't know better - which I don't - I'd guess their reviewers were about 16 years old (no offense to 16 year-olds)

Just regurgitating this old thread, as I was looking thru my DVD collection at favorites I want to grab on Blu-ray and saw this wasn't North American solo-available.

I have to agree with the other fans here that this title has always gotten the shaft, whether it is movie or music. It took me years to get the out-of-print CD because I didn't want to spend a ton on eBay for it and my DVD is in that cardboard snap-case. All my DVDs are the original release cases so I have some pretty oldies with those horrid WB cardboards. lol Hate'em!

This is a shame though, because I have never checked out that other movie, nor do I have any intention. Something similar happened with comic book horror movie 30 Days of Night, where they paired it up with a freakin' Prom Night remake...but thankfully it is solo-available at this point.

But I'm a little fanatical when it comes to WOE and I can't for the life of me grasp why a film with such a great cast, and a score with John Williams gets absolutely no corporate love. Hell, I've even got first edition hardbacks of both novels!

For real, though, where is this movie? This would not be hard to sell and would fit many different labels from Warner Archives to Criterion to Scream Factory. Massive cast. George Miller. John Williams. What the hell is taking so long with this?

Yeah, it shares disc space with a shitty movie, but it's not totally unavailable.
