October is actually more exciting for me. The only things I'm getting immediately in September are Stardust, Glee, and Iron Man 2. Compare that with October in which I'm getting...

Beauty and the Beast: Diamond Edition
The Maltese Falcon
Treasure of the Sierra Madre
Psycho: 50th Anniversary Edition
The Exorcist: Extended Director's Cut
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban: Ultimate Edition
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire: Ultimate Edition
Back to the Future: 25th Anniversary Edition

Plus the possibility of How to Train Your Dragon, too. It makes me glad to have an October birthday. Theatrical releases may be wanting around that time, but the home video releases are always great.

Holy crap. I was gonna list everything I'd planned to get, but there's too many, it'd be terrifying.

This is gonna be my most expensive month yet...

Fringe-Season 2
Se7en
Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia-Season 5
Unleashed
Prince of Persia
Spartacus: Blood and Sand
The Killer Inside Me
Iron Man 2
Its the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown
Bloodsport/Timecop

And considering they're still scheduling more for September I can only imagine my haul for October will only double in the upcoming months...

Back to the Future Trilogy
Red Dragon
Psycho
30 Days of Night: Dark Days
Night of the Demons
Christmas Classics Gift Set

Not much interest in the releases except for Iron Man 2 and Prince of Persia. Possibly get Megadeth as well.

I can wait on the rest.

As far as TV shows go, it's a very good month. But the only movie that is a definite purchase for me in September is "Iron Man 2".

September will be a special month only if we get How To Train your Dragon in that month as well.

For me, September is definitely going to be the best month (not for my wallet) in quite a long time. From the US, I'll be getting:

The Player
Se7en
The Black Dahlia
The Thin Red Line
American Beauty
The Killer Inside Me
Desperate Housewives Season 6 (DVD)

and from the UK:

Mulholland Dr. (Studio Canal Collection)
The Pianist (Studio Canal Collection)
Secretary
The Ghost

Other possibles from the UK are 'Four Lions' and 'Bent', although I'll probably rent them first rather than blind-buying.

*=Maybe

Poltergeist
Se7en
Fringe: Season 2
*The Twilight Zone: Season 1
*One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
American Beauty
Iron Man 2

Yep, I'll have no money after that.

I don't know if September is the best Blu-ray month in ages...but it certainly will pan out to be a costly one! There are quite a few titles I am really interested in as well.

I think it's just going to be a great overall fall. There are titles in Sept, Oct, and Nov I am definitely getting day one, and I'm sure more will be announced as the summer goes on.

Just for those four movies October beats August's and Septembers release schedule put together, in my opinion. The best animated film ever, the two best horror movies ever, and one of the best if not the best film noir movie ever made all the same month. Simply mouth watering.
